Well, to be honest, when the trade went down Denver was a trainwreck. Marshall wasn't in the plans, McDaniels was rubbing people the wrong way, they blew the Cassell deal, pissed off their franchise QB, etc. So I suppose that's fair.

Bear fans are the biggest meatballs probably in the history of all sports "Butkus", "DaCoach", "85 Bearzz".

How anyone can not appreciate what Orton did with this crap team is kidding themselves.

That being said, I believe in Todays football a great QB will keep you good for a long time. I think Cutler is on the cusp of being great. Time will tell, and time is when the Bears actually have a WR that can command a double team. ala Marshall. As for WR right now, I have A.Johnson #1 and Marshall #2.

Everyone expected Olsen to have a break out season and maybe he will, but up until now, he is the guy that is doubled every play not a WR. Until that changes, the Bears will be what they are...and that I haven't decided yet. This upcoming week might settle that.

Orton with Marshall a top 10 QB
Orton with Bears wr's...Maybe 12th or 13th, I still might say top 10 only because he just wins.

      Cutler with Marshall top 5-6
Cutler with Bears wr's top 10.

Let the baby boast while he can. Hes happy now because he knows 5-0 will be the highpoint of the Broncos season.

The Bears weren't a "crap" team around Orton. He had two good TE's a running back in his great rookie season and a solid OLine. The WR's were awful noone would dispute that but the Bears were far from a crap team.

I wish Orton all the best but would take this trade any day every day in a heartbeat if they went back and did it all over again.

Orton never really showed he could be a starting QB in the NFL until last season or late in the 2007 season IMO. It was really the first year he was anything more than a game manager.

                  1. The biggest of biggest LOL's is at the great running back...Did #34 rise for the dead?

                  2. Olsen is ok, but gets more credit than he deserves. Hasn't been to a probowl or even sniffed one.

                  3. D. Clark doesn't help a team get to a Superbowl, he is just a guy.

                  4. If there Oline was so good, why did 3/5th's get replaced?

I'll take A.Johnson and Marshall. Buy saying that, I am nottaking anything away from Fitz, but no way is he better than A.Johnson. He is hands down the best WR in football, no close second. Marshall and Fitz can be 2a and 2b.

I just have watched more Denver football over the last 2 years to see what a MAN Marshall is. He is crazy good. He is TO from 4 years ago with better hands.

                    1. I misspoke and meant to say a running back who had a "great rookie year". In any case Forte had a great rookie season and helped Orton out a lot.

                    2. Olsen is a good TE. Pairing him and Desmond Clark together, especially when lacking a true WR threat helps a QB out a lot. I could give two shits about Olsen sniffing a Pro Bowl. He was the best pass catcher that team had last year and the NFL must think that he's pretty damn good seeing as he's been getting doubled like crazy this year.

                    3. What does Dez Clark helping a team to the Super Bowl have to do with disagreeing with your comment about the Bears being a "crap" team? Oh wait...Nothing. Even if Dez is just "a guy" he's still an above average NFL TE and is not a crap player on a crap team.

                    4. Go back and look at sacks, YPR, etc last year and anyone would agree that the Bears Oline last year was at least good. They overachieved for what a lot of people thought they would do but they still had a very good year. As for 3/5 of them being replaced way to ignore the circumstances...

John Tait retired. He was replaced by Orlando Pace.
John St Clair was signed by the Browns. 2008 1st Round pick Chris Williams has replaced him.

Kruetz is still here, as is Garza, Beekman(last years starting left guard) has been battling with Frank Omiyale ever since he was signed for starting time. 3/5ths of the Bears starters last year are still on the roster and they are even deeper than last year because of having guys like Beekman and Schaffer on the roster and as backups.

It's not like the Bears went into the offseason and blew up the offensive line because they were bad last year. They just replaced guys who left and built depth. Pretty simple.

I will say though so far this year the OL has been a huge disappoint thus far. They have not performed anywhere near as well as expected.

And whats that? You must be the only person in the world that believes 5 games equals a season. How dumb are you gonna feel if you're boasting about this shit and your team still falls on its face? I said from the beginning I wish Orton and the Broncos the best, I love Orton as a human being. Im still not thrilled with him as a player, but its pretty well documented from ALL Bear fans that Orton never did a lot to lose us games, he just didnt do a whole lot to win them, either.

The Bronco fans are bandwagoners... none of them believed in this team, the coach, or had any real hope for this season.

                              It's a generalization.

As in most Bronco fans, can't help the .5 percent who still believed.

                                Exactly what I'm stating.

He went through and quoted all the things people said bad about Denver, because they are 5-0 now.

I know it's way too early to see who got the better end of the trade.

I just wanted to see the reaction on Glenn, when i pointed out something that he said wrong. Just like he did to everyone else.
