If they came out and said "oh no, this wasn't because of the deflated balls at all!" you'd really believe them?
its not as much as trusting the pats as not trusting wells or the nfl to do anything correctly.. wells has holes all throughout his report.. you're focusing on the ball boys being suspended and being call the deflator? get out of here w/ that nonsense..

Or you can try telling me where you think the discrepancies are within the report.

Here is your problem. If we were to bring this into a court of law, Brady would be found not guilty. Not innocent. But not guilty. No matter how much common sense we all have, it means nothing in a courtroom.

THIS ISN'T A COURTROOM. This is a business. You don't need the smoking gun. All you need is the smell of gunpowder in the room & a dead body to reasonably conclude a crime against your biz has taken place.

The Colts told the officials before the game to look for under-inflated balls. The Pats have been proven to have multiple convos about deflating balls. Brady has lied multiple times about not having any preference. Brady has lied about knowing McNally. Brady suddenly starts calling one of the accused multiple times after the AFC title game and explains it off as trying to get the equipment mgr game ready. And the Pats ridiculous defense is, among other things, the Deflator nickname is about weight loss, the NFL has it out for them, the whole operation was a sting, the NFL guy used profanity at them, they didn't get warned beforehand not to cheat & that 100 secs isn't enough time for a ref to relieve himself in the bathroom.

WHAT DOES COMMON SENSE TELL YOU?

New England won 4 games by one possession scores this year. 12-4 record.

Pat fans and apologists love to point out he played 6 quarters with regular footballs. They don't consider the fact that this has probably been going on for a while, softer footballs give you an advantage as far as turnovers go, and those close wins are incredibly important as to playoff seeding. Do they win those close games if they're playing with a regular ball? Do they earn the #1 seed and get homefield advantage throughout the playoffs if they're playing with a regular ball?

I had the same conversation with some peers in person the other day as to whether or not we should look the other way because of rumors that "other teams do this all the time". There's probably a lot of guys juicing too that haven't been caught too, it's irrelevant. New England got caught, and got caught red handed. The text messages are damning, and even if one doesn't want to take those under consideration and they believe this Patriot propaganda that McNally was talking about his weight, the suspension and fines probably have more to do with the Patriots failure to cooperate with the investigation.

Why would Brady refuse to give up his phone? Especially considering Wells informed Brady and his Agent that he wouldn't even personally look at the phone. Brady didn't even have to fear any other illegal activity being found out, because Wells agreed to allow Brady's agent to share messages considered relevant to this particular investigation and even told them he'd take their word that they were being honest in what they shared.

I wonder if Kraft is still holding out hope to receive an apology. I also wonder if there is another Franchise that has the ironic stigma of having a cheating scandal attached to all of their superbowls?

I just would kindly like to point that first time PED users -- who I hope we can all agree is more serious than PSI -- don't even get suspended for a game. So yeah.

Does anyone actually think 2 PSI is enough to change the outcome of a game? The refs are constantly handeling, throwing & catching the balls with each other and the players. If they couldn't tell the difference, how much of an advantage could it really be?

The rules have been established. The rule in question.

The Ball must be a “Wilson,” hand selected, bearing the signature of the Commissioner of the League, Roger Goodell.

The ball shall be made up of an inflated (12 1/2 to 13 1/2 pounds) urethane bladder enclosed in a pebble grained, leather case
                                (natural tan color) without corrugations of any kind. It shall have the form of a prolate spheroid and the size and weight shall be: long axis, 11 to 11 1/4 inches; long circumference, 28 to 28 1/2 inches; short circumference, 21 to 21 1/4 inches;
                                weight, 14 to 15 ounces.

The Referee shall be the sole judge as to whether all balls offered for play comply with these specifications. A pump is to b
e furnished by the home club, and the balls shall remain under the supervision of the Referee until they are delivered to the ball attendant just prior to the start of the game.
The evidence is clearly damning in the respect that Tom went out of his way to achieve the inflation of the ball to his liking.

"Cheat: to break a rule or law usually to gain an advantage at something"

Did Tom Brady not do this? "The referee shall be the sole judge". The entire purpose of this was to bypass the referee ruling before the game. The balls were tampered with after an official examination was completed of the game balls.
