Why did Cleveland trade away their picks? Aaron Curry their main man prior to drat day? Gone a pick ahead of them. They wern't sold on B.J. Raji to hold down the DT spot, especially while they're still paying Shaun Rodgers oodles of money. Mangini waited and let the draft play out, let everyone else make the picks. They knew that after Raji and Curry the next spot was to address the OL which caused a lot of problems for them last year and led to quarterback injury after injury without any protection. We started Ken Dorsey!

On that note, why not draft Mark Sanchez? He was available then. Why draft him when you have a capable starter in DA, and a QB still in the making in Brady Quinn, which in my honest opinion to this point is looking like bust. Quinn has flashed a lot of good things but with every good thing he's done, he went and did two bad things. Cleveland heading into this season picked up and fixed needs.

Needing to get a SMART offensive lineman they drafted the guy with the highest IQ in the draft, Alex Mack. Moving on, Brian Robiskie and Mohamed Massuqoi. They don't know what their WR core is going to look like, will the new GM ship Edwards? Is Donte Stallworth going to be able to play. By grabbing these two the Browns have something they haven't had since returning to Cleveland and that's depth at the WR position.

Why go with Kaluka Maivia. Maivia was the unsung LB out of USC. He was behind three very good line backers and if anyone of those guys were not in a USC uniform Kaluka would have started. He's a bred athlete his uncle is Dwayne Johnson. Kid has some good genes and could be a stud in the NFL if he can adapt. The LB core is still relatively young in Cleveland, he won't be needed right away.

To say that the Browns deserve a 32nd? I can't really argue against that other than to point my fingers West to the Oakland Raiders, and North to the Detroit Lions, you mean to tell me that with our draft and theirs, Cleveland is still not a better team than these two teams? I'm not going to rip you a new one, it's your opinion but it's not like Cleveland is a top 20 team, or a top 25 at that. Improving and rebuilding I just don't think that 32 is the right spot. I know others will disagree but come on...we don't have Al Davis, that counts for something....right?

The Raider fans could learn something from this. This is a very good response to why he doesn't think his team should be dead last.

What could i learn from that? That Al Davis needs to be assassinated? It isn't really a good response to why they shouldn't he just pretty much explained the state of the Cleveland Browns. Good read anyways.

Well he did explain how the Browns did NOT draft like an old senile retard.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they won 7-9 games. Realistically, I'm expecting 4-6 wins. The schedule looks tough on paper.

I'm excited because the Chiefs certainly have talent. They have a lot of young players who, if they make a big jump in improvement, could make the Chiefs a lot better a lot sooner than people think.

I really think the AFC West is there for the taking. Norv Turner will hold San Diego back again.. Oakland is brutal.. and Denver could struggle big time minus Cutler.

If Kansas City starts the season out well.. look out.. thats a young squad that can really get on a roll

I would like to get in on that. Chiefs will suck more, Raiders will suck less. The Chiefs defense doesn't look too good. There LB's are decent though for what they were able to do immediately though and they drafted 2 good young D-lineman. Still their defense will hold them back. Raiders are more complete and have the best special teams in the NFL.

Unlike the other Raider fans on this board, I don't care about anyone's preseason power rankings. Especially yours considering you are an absolute nobody that doesn't know any more than the next NFL fan.

You could have said the Raiders will go 0-16 and I still wouldn't care to respond.

I'll wait till the season starts to start ranking teams, till then, these pre-season power rankings are for people that have too much time on their hands.

KC's defense will look better with the subtraction of Gunther Cunningham. They're young everywhere except LB, so there's a lot of room for improvement.

Yeah, I'm with you on the state of the division.

I'd love to see them start out well, but the beginning of their schedule looks pretty brutal. They go at Baltimore in week 1, and then they have the NFC East 4 weeks in a row from weeks 3-6. Then, they play San Diego in week 7 before they get a bye. Oakland at home in week 2 looks like the only winnable game. I know that teams change year to year but I don't see the Chiefs starting out that well even if they pull off a couple W's out of nowhere.
