My new rule is to stop underestimating fighters I know that are great.. and stop getting caught up in value. I shoulda stuck with my guns when I said "you cant beat a determined Anderson Silva or BJ Penn". Some of these elite guys are just flat out better than other guys.

I was expecting a half ass Penn, thats not who showed up. I thought he would dwell on the GSP loss and not be focussed on this fight I was very wrong.

Silva on the other hand maybe the most dangerous fighter in the world inside of the cage.

Now everyone, especially rob knows i'm not one to stick up for rob, but i definitely see how u can pick Forrest, because of how their skills match up, and because silva's last fights have been so boring i'd rather watch two granny's play go fish, but damn. After this fight, i don't think people will be betting against silva anytime soon

Dan Mergliata is fucking terrible. The reffing in general is pretty bad. Herb Dean, Big John (gone), and Mario Yamasaki are the only good refs. Yves Lavigne, Mergliata, and Mazagatti are all terrible. And the new British kid aint too hot either.

You're joking about GSP or Machida actually beating Silva right? Silva is too strong and quick for either of them to compete.

GSP and Machida are not Forrest Griffin. Griffin has a ton of heart but lacks overall skill, he'll tell you that himself. GSP and Machida are gifts to MMA would NOT end up like Forrest did. GSP has the disadvantage of size.. this wouldnt be a problem for Lyoto in the slightest.

GSP can really take away Silva's biggest strength, his boxing, by taking him down and keeping him down.

GSP can take down anyone in MMA. Silva is not some sprawl specialist, GSP will take him down and will be able to keep him down for large portions of the fight. That is why I think GSP can hang with Silva.

Ok I have a question for ya.. How would Machida deal with Silva. IMO Lyoto would be out match in every aspect of the fight. If he stands toe 2 toe like he did against Rashad he would lose. The reason being is that Silva doesn't waste punches like Rashad. So damn near every punch would be on the button. If he gets close then he would have to deal with the clinch and those nasty knees. Take Silva to the ground and his opponents are still at a disadvantage. I really don't see Silva losing until someone pulls a surprise flying knee bar and catches him completely off guard.

And GSP wouldn't stand a chance.

Im not saying Machida would win but hes easily the most elusive fighter in the world today. His ability to pick apart his opponents and avoid getting hit is remarkable. Machida has elevated himself to elite status and is a special talent.. id be shocked if Anderson was able to beat him in the fashion he did Forrest. Infact, id guarantee that he doesnt.

If GSP trains properly and can get his body mass up theres zero reason he cant beat Anderson. GSP could outwrestle Silva for 5 rounds no problem.

The funny thing about all this is how the new fans now think Anderson is gods gift to MMA because he destroyed their favourite fighter. So many of these new fans have grown to love Forrest cause of TUF and for now they're seeing Silva destroy him and everyone is on Anderson's dick again. These are the same fans questioning Anderson after his fights to Cote and Leites because they didnt know what he was truly capable of.

Anderson never left as a top 5 fighter.. he was just taking a vacation. I blame Dana for failing to give him legit talent to fight.. how inspired can Anderson Silva be to beat Thialas Leites?
