This week alone you have the Auger phantom penalities and the league backed the official while the PA said nothing to help Burrows. Clearly Vegas and other bookies will start to hound NHL referee's knowing what they can get away with.

Then in the PIT/PHI game, the FSN Pittsburgh broadcast withheld a replay from the replay officials that determined a Flyers goal, so they called it a no goal and then after they showed the replay on TV showing it was a goal.

You mean that call where the guy fell over and probably looked like interference by the ref who called it on the goal line.

Burrows can go fuck himself to be honest. This is why soft calls are going to be called on him:

Or even this during the same game where these supposed phatom call but he was called for holding the stick because well thats what he did. Oh big surprise he was floppin and diving all over the place.

Burrows is a terrible player. Auger could call 60mins of penalties on him and I bet no would in the league would care because they would all be diving penalties.

Rangers threaten revenge after loss

New York Rangers forward Vinny Prospal called it "gutless."

His teammate, goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, called it "disrespectful" and warned about retribution.

Rangers coach John Tortorella said there was "no honor" in it and called it "embarrassing" to the sport of hockey.

With the sting of Thursday night's 2-0 loss still fresh in their minds, the Rangers spent most of their postgame interviews lambasting Flyers winger Dan Carcillo for dropping his gloves against their star winger, Marian Gaborik, and beating him to a pulp.

"He doesn't look that smart to me," Lundqvist said, "and he showed it tonight."

Lundqvist didn't stop there, saying Carcillo should be ready when the two teams play March 14 in New York.

"We will remember this for sure," he said. "and he should be ready for it."

James van Riemsdyk scored his 12th goal of the season, Mike Richards netted his 20th and Ray Emery recorded his second shutout of the season, with 24 saves, but when the sticks were put away and the skates were hung, no one wanted to talk about anything but Carcillo's second-period fight with Gaborik.

First some history: Carcillo entered the game with 57 career fights in the NHL. Gaborik had just one, a 2004 bout with Flyers tough guy Ian Laperriere.

When the two exchanged shoves 5:43 into the second period, and Gaborik dropped his gloves, Carcillo's mouth dropped like a dog's at feeding time.

"I wasn't expecting him to drop his gloves," Carcillo said, "but when he did, I was pretty much licking my chops."

"Wonderful," Tortorella said, when Carcillo's comments were relayed to him. "He's a brave guy, huh?"

Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger seemed amused by the war of words coming from the Rangers coach and his players.

"Don't start something if you're not going to get involved," Pronger said. "All (Gaborik) had to do was skate away. He started it. He didn't have to drop the gloves, and he did."

Lost in the verbal battle between the two teams was one of the best jobs of defensive execution displayed by the Flyers all season. The Rangers came into the game having outscored their previous two opponents 14-4.

The Flyers' two-man forecheck and left wing lock bottled up the Rangers in their own end and in the neutral zone, limiting them to 24 shots.

Van Riemsdyk got the Flyers going 15:10 into the first period when he took a lonnggg outlet pass from Pronger and used a burst of speed to get in alone on Lundqvist. Van Riemsdyk flubbed his shot but alertly jabbed in the rebound for his fifth goal in eight games.

The score stayed 1-0 until the second period, when all the fireworks took place. After Carcillo fought Gaborik, Sean Avery took on Scott Hartnell and was pile-driven to the ice. Avery came back for more against Carcillo, who refrained from throwing many punches because his knuckles were still bloodied from the fight with Gaborik.

Tortorella was asked after the game if he thought one of his players should have stepped between Gaborik and Carcillo.

"That's between me and the team," he shot back. "That's been addressed."

Carcillo's a piece of shit and moron and he now has a target on his back, front, side and ugly mug. There has to be and certainly will be some retribution; your unwashed mob just better hope one of those Frenchies on your top lines doesn't get rocked.

If scoring 13 goals in your last 9 games makes you a terrible player sign me up!! Goodness knows the Leafs could use more 'terrible' players like Burrows.

How many Canucks games do you catch in a season?

Oh god, please don't turn into another klesheen where unless you watch every second of every game of your fav team, you can't comment on them.

Gloves don't really 'slip' off that easily, I play lacrosse where the gloves are similar and they don't come off unless I want them to haha.

Any good? They're sick. Henrik Sedin is probably the NHLs most underrated player.

Never ceases to amaze me how those two know where they are, never have I seen so many successful no look passes.

How many Canucks games do you catch in a season?

I'll generally catch anywhere from 40 to 60 Canucks games a year. Depending on if they are playing the late games here on Hockey night in Canada. People stop using this arguement. Its old and doesn't work.

Burrows might be right now one of the bigger whiners/divers in the NHL. It something he has to grow out of because it has no place in the NHL. He might be the worst diver outside of Riberio right now. There was an 11 min story on this before the canucks game last week on CBC. He's just a terrible diver and needs to fix it.

The terrible player comment. Well I guess with 30 goals last year and he's for sure to crack that again this year he can't be all that bad but when all you do is sit in front of the net while the sedins dance around all night and cause most of the scoring chances I'd bet you could do that with any half assed skill player.

Good job burrows your hat trick came from going to the net. Two of the goals came from people chasing a sedin and them making dam good plays.

His stats are also going to be inflated to since he's just scored a batch of goals to start the year. He only had 27 points in the first 40 games. Whereas right now he 18 points in his last 11 games.
