Playoff time!!! Any of you growing beards? I usually grow mine out for like 2 weeks then shave it because I every time I go to the bathroom a terrorist is mean mugging me.
I can't do it. Anytime I let my facial hair grow my skin breaks out. It's fuckin annoying.
BTW, is Marty St. Louis one of the most underrated players of all time or what?
I was watching the Flyers/Lightning game this year on NHLN last night and he is just ridiculous. I never get to watch him out here and it seems like nobody on the west even knows who he is. Guy is one of my favorite players in the league to watch. He's just so darn cute.
There are 5 games on Wednesday. How am I supposed to watch 5 games at once?
They've done that a few years in a row, I guess it's just how things end up sorting out TV slots and arena usage.
I'll be at the TFC match so I won't see any of the early games, get home just in time to watch Luongo surrender a 3 goal lead in the 3rd to Toews and Co.

Easily. He's a first ballot HOF player IMO.
p.s. the Marleau one is better than the Thornton one.
I agree, digging the Marleau one much more than the JT one.
Zetterberg has ruled himself out for game 1. I think I picked the Wings to win in 7 but if Z doesn't play I don't think the Wings will win.
They just don't have enough firepower without him, IMO. Datsyuk is amazing and a one man show but he won't be able to do it all. Franzen is going to need to step up, once again, or I think the Coyotes will take that series.
Kind of sad that he wasn't selected to play for Canada in the Olympics. Would have gotten him some great exposure. 90% of Sharks fans out here don't know even know who he is but they'd absolutely love him if they got the chance to see him.

Franzen's been ice cold since that monster game of his. He's got what, 3 goals since? And had a 15+ game goalless draught?
Coyotes could be a surprise since that report suggesting they don't want to go to Winnipeg, a long playoff run could certainly benefit that cause thanks to the added revenue.
Knowing Bettman, I'd not be shocked to see Phoenix "get the calls" in this series.
Detroit looked pretty lackluster on Sunday vs. Chicago. Datsyuk was the only one that was able to create any chances. I don't know how they won that game to be honest. From start to finish it looked like Chicago was the better team, IMO.
Looks like Rafalski and Lidstrom have both declined. Franzen has been invisible. Holmstrom will get an occasional goal here and there by sitting in front of the net but he can't make it happen on his own. Who else do they have? Filpulla, Cleary, Helm? Solid players but they aren't going to do enough to win a 7 game series.
More I think about it, more I want to change my pick to PHX. But it really depends on Z. And it's not like the Yotes have a bunch of firepower, either.
The Wings will play their best, they always do in the playoffs. But I think they don't have enough players playing well to win a cup, a first round should be do-able. Phoenix isn't super talented either, they just have solid D with good goaltending.
I still lean to Detroit, but the more you look at it makes it seem like a toss up.
