Pronger said during practice today that he expects to play in this series against Buffalo. Apparently he is going full out in practice tomorrow and if he has no pain, then he will be in the lineup on Thursday.

BTW, is Marty St. Louis one of the most underrated players of all time or what?
I was watching the Flyers/Lightning game this year on NHLN last night and he is just ridiculous. I never get to watch him out here and it seems like nobody on the west even knows who he is. Guy is one of my favorite players in the league to watch. He's just so darn cute.Comment

really mini? doesn't even fucking make any sense
MONTREAL – Montreal police are still investigating a March 8 on-ice hit at the Bell Centre that severely injured Canadiens player Max Pacioretty, Sgt. Ian Lafrenière said Monday afternoon.
However, the police spokesperson deflected more specific questions about any progress in the month-long probe.
Lafrenière wouldn’t say, for instance, whether Boston Bruins defenceman Zdeno Chara – who made the hit on Pacioretty – will be questioned by local detectives when the Bruins return to Montreal for two playoff encounters next week.
That will be the first time the Bruins return to town since Chara checked Pacioretty’s head into a stanchion at the Bell Centre.
The 22-year-old Hab was knocked unconscious, fractured his fourth cervical vertebra and was left with a severe concussion.
“There might have been a misunderstanding” with Bruins management, Lafrenière said in a voice mail.
Peter Chiarelli, the Bruins’ general manager, had suggested during a media teleconference at noon Monday that Montreal law enforcement wouldn’t be asking distracting questions of Chara while the Bruins are in town next week to play Games 3 and 4 against the Habs, in their first round of Stanley Cup playoffs.
“They’ve been very good, the authorities up there,” Chiarelli added, “and don’t anticipate nothing untoward will happen when we get up there.”
The possible “misunderstanding” with Bruins management, police spokesperson Lafrenière suggested, might stem from the Bruins’ last trip north of the border.
“They’d been questioning us, because they were playing against the Maple Leafs in Toronto,” a March 19 matchup, Lafrenière stated.
“They asked, ‘Are we going to be bothered at Customs?’
“And we said, ‘No, we know exactly what we’re looking for, we don’t have to arrest you guys.’
“So,” Lafrenière added, “that might be the misunderstanding.”
In a voice mail, Lafrenière did not make it clear whether Chara had been or will be questioned by Montreal police in connection with the Pacioretty injury.
Nor did he return callbacks posing the specific question and seeking the answer.
Two days after the hit, in the face of a Habs-fans outcry, Louis Dionne, Quebec’s director of criminal and penal prosecutions, said his office had advised the Quebec Ministry of Public Security that it was recommending an investigation.
Montreal police picked up the puck. A probe of the hit and its aftermath would begin immediately, Montreal police Constable Olivier Lapointe said.
Lafrenière’s Monday update – that “we are still doing the investigation” – was the first public follow-up since.
The launch of the police probe followed by one day a National Hockey League decision to not suspend Chara.
After he checked Pacioretty, who didn’t have the puck, into the boards, referees had assessed Chara a five-minute major and a game misconduct.

They should be. Maurice should lose his job as well.
When you have a win and in situation at the end of the year, and come out THAT flat vs teams playing for nothing.....unacceptable.
Both Dallas and Carolina were awful in those games.Comment

You can blame him for all the other fuck ups, but there is no way a coach should have to get his guys "up" for a win and in situation. If the players aren't already pumped and ready to go then the Stars need some new skaters more than a new coach.Comment

The thought of a possible Hall - Nugent-Hopkins - Eberle line is just sick. If this team can just find a damn goalie full time, they have a sick team in the making. It might not be next season, but if I'm the Oilers coach, I get those three on a line together as soon as possible and see what they can do together. Hall/Eberle are pure goal scorers, Hopkins has great eyes.
Still say they wont make the playoffs, but they wont be getting the 2012 first pick thats for sure. All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.
