I'm a Canadiens' fan, so I hate that we lost tonight. But no one said this series would be a sweep. The next three games should be fun ... and, yes, I said three games.
You might want to cancel the Nucks trophy engraving Bromar.
I actually picked the Canucks in 6, which is why I was so impressed when they were up 3-0 and on the verge of sweeping the Blackhawks.
Just an example of what happens when a team gets comfortable. No lead is safe in a game or series. Momentum of an entire game can change from just a couple of shifts.
And it looks like something has clicked for the Sharks. The Sharks were able to weather the storms and dominate when they wanted to. Niemi was absolutely incredible. All around great effort.
I can see why because a lot of them now have ties to that area. Shane Doan for example has a lot of charity work and his family is all set up there and he isn't happy about the prospect of moving again. That is the one thing people don't take into consideration when talk of relocation happens. There are hundreds of people whose lives are going to go through a major change having to move to not only a different location, but in this case, a different country all together.
I still think Winnipeg is a stupid location, and if the NHL goes through with this, I do think Jim Balsile has a good case he can make that the NHL was blocking him from owning a team, since he wanted to move them to Ontario. And we know Ontario is a bigger hockey market then Winnipeg.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.
The sharks forum at the hfboards is like having a bunch of omars on it. Just hilarious.
One minute its the series is over everyone just give up to "we're going to win it all!"
What? Where did I say the series was over or that the Sharks are going to win it?
Anybody can beat anybody, obviously. I just complain when I see a lack of effort. I think every fan has a right to do bitch and moan when a team that is inferior to theirs scores 8 straight goals on 'em.
Kings aren't going to just lay down and accept defeat. I expect them to come out and play hard with a good chance of winning Saturday. They're tough and they have a lot of fight in them. As I've been saying all along, the Sharks just need to fight and compete for puck control on the boards. That is where the Kings are strongest. Sharks fought hard for pucks last game and it paid off.
Flyers knew their goalie issues and did nothing to solve it. Rather they went out and got Vertseeg who basically does jack all for a team already loaded with talent. Toronto is probably just laughing their ass off now because with Boston and Philly both not playing good, their first look a hell of a lot better.

Yeah but it's not so much about leaving Phoenix as it is hating on Winnipeg. They are just trashing the city, it's not something you really see in these situations.
Not sure why Winnipeg is a "stupid" location when they have an arena along with the richest fucking guy in Canada ready to be the owner.
Not sure what kind of "case' you think JB can make, if the NHL doesn't want him then wtf can he do? It's their league and they can have whoever they want as an owner.
