I show up at my brothers where one of his friends is there watching the game, 3-1 Sharks at that point. Then bang bang bang, guy could probably be heard across the street.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

            "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

Datsyuk was amazing tonight. What a player.
And, really, an argument could be made for Lidstrom being the second best defenceman in NHL history (this comment really annoys our 53-year-old sports reporter).

Haven't finished watching the game yet since I just got home from some mother's day shit but figured it's time to change up the avatar to try and help Marleau get out of this funk.

Datsyuk and Zetterberg are two of my favorite players. Even when they aren't scoring, they are doing other things to help their team win. Although the Red Wings had to rally just to stay alive, it shouldn't be too surprising that they came back to score 3 goals in the 3rd period because their team is so talented. Should be an interesting series now.

I think if people get over their Bobby Orr love, I think a case could be made that Lidstrom and Bourque are the two most accomplished defensemen in NHL history.

You would rather have Al Montoya?

                                Paul Coffey...
                                1531 pts (396 goals, 1135 assists)
                                4 Cups
                                3 Norris'

                                Ray Bourque
1579 pts (410 goals, 1169 assists) (played one more year than Coffey)
                                1 Cup
                                5 Norris'

                                Nik Lidstrom
                                1108 pts (253 goals, 855 assists)
                                4 Cups
                                6 Norris'

                                /Edmonton Homerism

Obviously Coffey had the benefit of playing with the early 80's Oilers, but he won his last Norris in 94 with the Wings. Be interested to hear what others think of his legacy, I think he kind of gets overlooked sometimes in 'Best D-Man Ever' convos, largely because I'm not sure his actual defence was at the level of other guys. End of the day though, the man was a winner
