I was rooting for Favre in that game, kind of how Nuk rooted for the Warner led Cardinals even though he is a Cowboys fan. I even wore a vintage Favre USM jersey to the game because it was Saints colors and it was the only way I could tailgate with the family

The sig is because I am using the Vikings in the 220 league, just like the Eagles sig for TGT. No specific allegiances, just who was open in the draft at that time.

Why didn't they just renamed them the Katrina Saints, or the New Orleans Katrinas?

The same reason they didn't rename the Jets the 9/11's or the Giants the Hijackers.

In what has been a run of poor hurricane-related jokes about New Orleans, that may have been the worst.

            I award you no points.

LOL @ blaming the refs. The Ref's didnt have 12 men in the huddle, the refs didnt throw the INT on 3rd down when Favre could have ran for 5 yards atleast.

Who blamed the refs for the loss? The NFL admitting to poor officiating and missed penalties was the topic of the thread. Everybody knows the Vikings shot themselves in both feet with all of the turnovers.

The league said they blew the calls and fined McCray $20k for cheap shots. That's pretty much the end of it.

The fact that it was just one in a series of questionable calls on that one drive is what made it so unbelievable.

funny on the replay its a no call, but in realtime it looks like he's all over him...

I've been pulling an AirMcNabb lately, I know.

Let me break it down - I'm a fan of the following.

St. Louis Rams (the only team.)
                          Kurt Warner.
Mike Martz (Where Martz goes, I go.)
                          Tony Romo.
                          Philip Rivers.

In a way I'm glad all this controversy has come up, now the Saints will have to be careful in the SB. I doubt the NFL can really afford to let them "get away" with late hits two games in a row. Refs will probably be quick to throw a flag on any questionable QB hit.

No doubt, McCray so much as looks the wrong way at Manning and there will be a flag. His hit against Warner in the divisional game was questionable but legal and the 3 shots against Favre were just flat out cheap.

Please. It's Peyton Manning. He may not whine and scream for a flag every time he's touched like Brady does, but the officials are gonna take care of him.

One "cheap shot" from a Saints player and we might see an ejection.
