Technically, your side of the key is stronger, is where the favorites are. Why do you think that Strikeforce matched the fights this way?

I believe they did it that way so that they can sell many pay-per-view subscriptions on the semifinals and on the finale. They're betting I'll beat Overeem and that Fedor beats Big Foot, because they know everybody wants that rematch. So, they want to guarantee a good semifinal so that they sell it out and they're betting on it. Who doesn't want to watch a rematch like this one?

What I think about is a rematch with Fedor. I wouldn't like to give Overeem this rematch, I'm just fighting because the event matched this fight. To Fedor I'll give this rematch happily, because I like him and he deserves this rematch. But first I have to think about how I'll beat Overeem so that rematch can happen.

So Fedor faced one total can, and had one fight vs. a name fighter who was undersized an really didn't have a chance. He then had four consecutive fights vs. "real" opponents.


For Overeem, we will use all fights since he won the SF title, since that's the period where people are critical of his fight quality:

d. Mark Hunt - BUM, Hunt is 5-7, and has lost 6 in a row. Hasnt been relevent since 2005
NC Mirko Cro Cop - good opponent, was winning the fight,
d. Gary Goodrich - washed up BUM, loser of 7 straight and 8 of 10
d. Tony Sylvester - BUM
d. James Thompson - BUM, loser of 12 of last 15 including losses to KIMBO and BUTTERBEAN
d. Kazuyuki Fujita - washed up, was 40 years old, loser of 5 of 7
d. Brett Rogers - good opponent
d. Todd Duffee - decent opponent

So what do we have? Two fights vs. "real" conteders, one of which he didn't win, the other of which Fedor beat, too. Dufee is his next best fight, a guy who has never sniffed the top 10. Then you have 6 total, complete, BUMS.


SUMMARY:

Fedor - 1 total BUM, 2 if you throw in Lindland. 4 legit opponents, 3 of which were either former world champs or ranked top 10 at the time of the fight. the fourth, Rogers, was a bordeline top 10 guy.

Overeem - 6 total BUMS. His toughest opponent, Rogers, was also defeated by Fedor, so that's a wash. Dufee isnt a bum, but never top 10 or even close. Cro Cop isnt a bum, but clearly declining, and Overeem technically didnt even beat him.

It's not even close, Fedor has faced a much better lineup of fighters, it's impossible to argue. The sad part, is it's not like Fedore has faced some sort of killer lineup, and it still blows away the parade of BUMS Overeem has faced. Since 2007, Overeem has faced the weakest lineup of fighters of any "elite" level fighter in history. We finally get to see if he is for real.

I'm done picking on Overeem, i've said forever that I just want to see him face real opponents, and now he will. If he wins this, he is the undisputed #1 heavy in the world. Whoever wins this will be. No point knocking him anymore, he will face plenty of comp if the survives this. But to say Fedor hasnt faced tougher comp the last few years is nothing short of laughable.
