    No shit.

Dana is lucky Cro Cop dodged Cain, because the Cain that fought last night would have gotten KTFO by the Cro Cop that fought last night.

Instead, Cain physically manhandled a guy who UFC fans see as a serious contender. Plus, Cain looked like such a beast in doing so, that Kongo ended up looking pretty good too, because he never quit and showed incredible heart.

    Everyone wins.

Cain would have beaten Cro Cop just the same because he can't fight from his back either. Plus, did you see the shots Cain was taking last night? He can take a hit.

That and Mirko really didnt look all that impressive last night. Al-Turk is just extremely wreckless and was leaving himself to get worked. That and an eye-poker isnt exactly the most impressive KO tactic.

I don't think Cro Cop would have been on his back.

Kongo was initiating clinches. No way Cro Cop fights that dumb. He was moving great last night. Cain gets no where near him IMO.

Have you seen Crocop's sprawls? He is not easy to get down to ground. Plus Kongo was able to tag Velasquez and hurt him every time he went in for a shot. Velasquez seemed to be able to complete the takedown almost on instinct, especially the first one. If Kongo (or Crocop) would have been able to sprawl and avoid the takedown, he could have had a chance to finish while Velasquez was obviously wobbled.

eh, tons of guys have gotten Cro Cop on his back and most of them aren't nearly as skilled at wrestling as Cain is. Wand has gotten Cro Cop on his back, Gonzaga, and I think Kongo may have even gotten him down as well (I'll have to check again I could be wrong with Kongo). But, still I don't see why Cain wouldn't be able to get him down when looking at other guys who have and really Cro Cops footwork wasn't even that good against Al-Turk, so I don't see how Cain wouldn't even get near him. His hands aren't going to keep Cain at bay either.

Questions surrounding Wanderlei Silva's fighting future and whether he should continue fighting have swirled in recent months, escalating following the Unanimous Decision loss to Rich Franklin in Cologne, Germany at UFC 99, but the former Pride champion made it clear at the post-fight press conference what he want to do. He wants a rematch with Franklin.

UFC president Dana White left the door open for Silva to decide if he wants to continue competing.

"Wanderlei Silva's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He's become a big part of our team. We care about this guy. He's around all the time. He works out in the gym and we'd love to keep him around no matter what he decides to do," said White. "It's one of those things where we'll get back to Vegas and we'll call Wanderlei in, we'll sit down and talk to him and see what he wants to do."

Silva didn't wait until they returned to Vegas to make his decision.

"Please, I want a rematch Dana (White). You're the boss, but I want a rematch," Silva pleaded to the UFC president. "I want to fight Rich Franklin again. Judges sometimes have an opinion, but I'm thinking I want to fight Rich Franklin again. I want a rematch."

Silva, known for his aggressive style and highlight reel knockouts is one of the most popular and exciting mixed martial artists in the world, but losing five or his last six fights, three by brutal knockouts, has many wondering if the 32-year-old Brazilian should hang up his gloves. Silva is not one of them.

Rodrigo ‘Minatauro’ Nogueira expects to retire next year and says he would like to end his career in Japan or Brazil - but first he wants to take another run at the UFC heavyweight title currently held by Brock Lesnar.

Regarding his loss to Frank Mir in his most recent outing, Nogueira says: “This defeat has postponed my retirement, I want to run after the belt.

“I want to be another warrior to help the guys to take this American hegemony and bring four belts for Brazil,” he explains in next month’s print edition of Tatame, outlining his belief that he and Thiago Alves can top their weight divisions in the near future.

Cro Cop has claimed he hasn't signed with anyone. My belief is that he hasn't signed with anyone because the whole leverage of doing a one-fight deal is to play the sides against each other. Of course he's got one side (agent Ken Imai) telling Dream he's with them, particularly because he told them ahead of time in the event he lost. Now that he won, they can play both sides.
Cro Cop is no dummy, he knew Dana would drop him without a second thought had he lost. How anyone can side with Dana here is mind blowing.

Again, Cro Cop did nothing wrong. One fight contract. He fulfilled it. If Dana wanted to guaruntee 3 fights, he should have gotten Cro Cop to sign a 3 fight deal.

Do you think Dana would still be pissed?

Dana is pissed because he wanted to use Cro Cop to help build one of his guys, and not only did he not get that, but Cro Cop ended up walking out of UFC a winner, too.

And who says Cro Cop lied about anything? I'm sure he did want to sign a 3 fight deal with Dana at some point, but DREAM swooped in and made him a better offer. Again, Dana has no one to blame but himself for letting Cro Cop not only walk into that cage with a one fight deal, but also hand pick a can to fight against.

Cro Cop fullfilled his contractual obligation, and took a better offer. Suck it, Dana.
                        but he lied to dana!

dana was going to let cro cop follow his dreams to become the Ultimate Fighting Champion of the world!

                        cro cop has no honor!

when Dana cuts someone its just 'business', when a fighter signs a 1 fight deal and fights 1 fight and leaves 'he screwed the UFC!' lol
