He wont fight Jake, he probably will get held down for 3 rounds and it does nothing for him, he needs a win or at least a fight that is an exciting match up

Looks like Strikeforce is close to signing Rogers vs Overeem for the HW title on Showtime for August 15th

as many as they want to make, Affliction is almost done after August 1st more than likely, Scott Coker has a great relantionship with afflitcion, dream, etc...

vitor, babulu, maybe tito, who knows, I think they will go after Fedor if this PPV makes any money

Nick Diaz vs anyone, Jake is getting there, still could have a Lawler fight with either of them

Still have Frank in San Jose, Cung Le when he is done making movies and like W2B said, you make stars, they have Showtime and CBS, there will always be fights to be made

We'll see about CBS. If they were going to them, 8/15 would be the show to air with them.

I've always heard CBS was PISSED about being held up for money with the last EXC show and have no itch to get back into MMA. Of course everyone read about Strikeforce having some sort of deal with them, but apparently nothing set in concrete.

Affliction/Fedor will draw 100k buys again, just like the first two shows, lose a couple more million, and join EliteXC & IFL in MMA heaven. The same 100k will buy the show, but they won't draw anyone new because they don't have tv (a few thousand people watching Showtime won't make a real difference).

When that happens, Strikeforce can cherry pick marketable fighters looking for work. Not sure I would pay Fedor if I was Coker, it's hard to turn a profit with what he commands, unless your Zuffa.

Well, the thing with Fedor and Affliction is they are not just paying him, they have overapaid Tim, AA and now Barnett, throw in Linland, Little Nog, Whitehead, etc...who they paid a crapload to there was no way they make money and they didnt even have to pay all those guys that much IMO

Look at Striekforce, they paid Frank 360k for his last fight, the next highest guy on the card was about 40k, Frank brought in the fans, so Frank go the big money

If they can let Fedor keep doing Sambo, fighting a giant in Japan or whatever and pay him what he is worth him drawing 100k or more should be worth it

The thing is, no one knows what Fedor makes because its all under the table or some other means, who knows what he really gets, I'm sure its a lot, but if you just pay him and can get that 100k+ PPVs it would be worth it

Also, maybe they can work out some stuff with Affliction, I think they will just go back to sponsering and let Strikeforce handle all the match making and money

You get 100k buys, at say $45 a pop, thats $4,500,000, so 4.5 million

How much do they pay the back to the cable company or other fees, etc...? I'm sure certain certain compants have diifferedt arrangements, but in general

I'm torn on Brock...the dude is jacked but he's one of those monster farm boy guys. I think it's likely he sampled steroids/gh at some point in his adult life but he's clean these days.
