Buentello - Duffee for UFC 107
Returning to the UFC for the first time since a solid 3-1 run in the organization, Paul Buentello (27-10 MMA, 3-1 UFC) is expected to meet fast-rising heavyweight prospect Todd Duffee (5-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) in December at UFC 107.
A source close to the negotiations told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) verbal agreements are in place and that bout agreements are in the process of being finalized.
UFC 107, headlined by UFC lightweight champion B.J. Penn vs. Diego Sanchez, takes place Dec. 12 at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn., and airs on pay-per-view.
Buentello, whose Aug. 1 fight with Gilbert Yvel was scratched with the promotional demise of Affliction Entertainment, returns to the UFC for the first time since his TKO victory over the late Gilbert Aldana at UFC 57 in 2006. Buentello suffered a loss to then-champ Andrei Arlovski in his previous bout and then left the organization after rebounding for the win over Aldana.
Buentello has strung together a solid run since that loss to Arlovski; he's 6-1 (with five stoppages) with the lone loss coming to Alistair Overeem in a November 2007 fight for Strikeforce's first-ever heavyweight title. Buentello most recently defeated Kirill "Baby Fedor" Sidelnikov at "Affliction: Day of Reckoning" in January.
Duffee, meanwhile, looks to build off his record-setting performance at UFC 102. There, making his UFC debut, Duffee quickly stopped Tim Hague with punches to score the quickest knockout in UFC history. The seven-second knockout was the American Top Team fighter's fifth KO or TKO win in five career fights. Only one has gone past the first round.

Strikeforce should have locked him up. Paul B. isn't great, but he is an entertaining HW that could of been put to use against Rogers or someoneComment

After waiting more than four years to make his return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, veteran fighter Frank Trigg will probably be dropped from the organization once again. And if that's the case, he's likely to retire from the sport.
Trigg, a former top UFC welterweight contender, suffered a first-round TKO loss to Josh Koscheck on the main card of this past weekend's UFC 103 event in Dallas.
Following the Sept. 19 event, UFC president Dana White told MMAjunkie.com that Trigg probably won't get another fight in the organization. If that's the case, Trigg today said, his career is likely over.Comment

I'm surprised at 2 things, 1 is Coker taking a shot at Paul, it wasnt even that bad of a shot, just a little jab, 2 is Paul not taking a fight with Fedor for a reported over 100k
Funny because both companies are/were going to use Paul as a gate keeper, they dont want him to win, so Paul doesnt fight Fedor and now is fighting the new golden boy Duffee
I think Paul seen more security with the UFC, but he shouldnt be fooled into thinking they will keep him around, if he gets KO'd with the quickness they will drop him unless he gets 3 fights or so no matter what
Also there was other stuff like Paul taking pay cuts on his last couple of Strikeforce fights, but he would have got good money to fight Fedor, the UFC actually always wanted Paul to stay after the AA fight, but he went to Strikeforce for more moneyLiquidrob's Top 10 Fighters Rankings
