Wow the referees are still morons. Steven Hunt should've been sent off before he had a chance to score for Hull today. Am I the only one who thought his studs to thigh height "challenge" on Lampard was obscenely reckless?
Sooooo. Villa looked like poop. But Rodallega's goal was perfect. Wait till you see it.
And Everton played some fantastic defense today...lol
Yeah that goal was stunning. I've never even heard of that guy before.
I think Fabregas' second goal sums that game up so well. Just gets the ball from his goalie in acres of space and doesn't get closed down at any point. If you took the ball out of the picture you'd assume he was just someone ghosting in off the ball.
Rooney looked like a totally different player today. It will be interesting to see him playing at Centre Forward for a full season. I've always thought Rooney has all the hallmarks of an all time player. As long as he limits his great play to domestic football it all good. ;)
On the other hand, Nani is fucking shite. Needs to go to La Liga pronto. Fergie obviously sees something in him though so I'll probably end up eating my words.

I love watching Roon play like this, it i always thought he had it in him. But with Ronny there he knew he was better setting him up. I can see and do expect alot more goals out of him this season.
Owen had a breakaway and completely blew it, he wont get back to the Englad squad any faster if he keeps doin that shit. Berba looked frustrated by a couple of bad bounces that didnt go his way, as long as he keeps working at it im fine. Valencia looks to be getting better each time I watch him, Nani has already proven what he is, thats why utd is soo winger heavy. Solid defense 90% if the game, and Ben Foster looked 1000 times better than he did in the C.S. game against Chelski.
Also, i know its only one half, but man do Liverpool look like poo poo right now.
Total soccer noob here checking in - watching Liverpool and the Spurs go at it. Liverpool is undermanned and it's showing, it looks like. The Spurs had a ton of chances and finally converted late in the 1st half. Torres and Gerrard have been non-factors. Blech.
Thing is...this is the first choice Liverpool squad.

Yes, that is truly sad.
Carragher is a 'cagey veteran', not a 'dominant defender'. Pairing him with Skrtel could be a disaster, since both are pretty slow. Insua is nothing special and he's very short. Reina's biggest weakness is corner kicks, so you'd think Rafa would want a tall back line. I was very pleased with Glen Johnson yesterday. He did very well.
Lucas Leiva starting is a joke. Its like playing a man short. Mascherano covers a lot of ground but can only do so much. Rafa can't let Gerrard roam around, have Leiva on the pitch, and have Carragher and Skrtel in the back line. Mascherano can't cover for all those guys.
Gerrard looked disinterested against Tottenham, as did Torres. Kuyt played as expected. Babel was a black hole as usual. Benayoun was their best player, and he only played part of the game.
Rafa has brought in a bunch of Spanish and South American players, and now he has a team full of pussies. I can't imagine Liverpool playing Chelsea...Chelsea would mop the floor with Liverpool.

Well said. While I think the foul on Voronin was probably a penalty, immediately before that Carragher pushed Crouch out of the way for a free header while making absolutely no play on the ball. If one is a pen then so is the other.
Not to mention his cynical pulldown, on I believe, Defoe in the second half. And the announcers praised him for the decision because otherwise he'd have struggled with the pace
