They weren't better than us, if anything we were in the ascendancy until the referee gave two yellow cards to the same player in the space of thirty seconds, both of which were soft. To add salt to the wounds, the fourth goal came directly from a free kick which shouldn't have been a free kick. The game as a fair contest was finished by an over zealous referee and both you and he can die in a fire as far as I'm concerned.

First goal, directly from the free kick for the foul which Caldwell was sent off for. From that moment on the game was lost, with morale at a low because of a shit manager and a shit qualifying campaign, the guys just collapsed and the game was over. Shit refereeing changed the balance of a well contested game entirely, now fuck off davie.

The start of the season should always be particularly good for Arsenal. Excellent pitches, good weather, full fitness, teams aren't fully sharp so generally the technical ability wins. We'll see what happens in November.
