Only saw one replay of the penalty shout for the challenge on Arshavin, but it looked legit to me.

I think this just all comes down to seeing things different from across the Atlantic. Since I've become interested in watching soccer I'm far less interested in American sports. To the point where I completely hate the NBA, and not interested in the NHL, and lost interest in college football. On top of that, the NFL's complete inconsistency because of it's love for parity doesn't help.

Thats exactly how I feel. I watch only one football game a weekend. When the Bears are on Ill watch.

But when there are 3 games from the EPL on FSC and 2 games from Italy, ill even check those out. NBA is crap, NCAA football is overrated, and the NHL is amazing but only when its playoff time.

Thanks to ESPN I can watch Serie A games on Sundays after I've finished playing football(soccer) on a Sunday morning, then watch NFL games on a Sunday evening/night

Question for those who are bigger MLS fans. Bobby Convey, of the San Jose Earthquakes. How has he been playing? I was a big fan of his on Steve Coppel's record breaking Reading side, and then he blew out his knee and fell out of favour. Impact player? Squad guy? Will he ever add to his 45 caps?

As far as I know he's doing okay, but still a shadow of his former self. I'd give him a year or two before I officially declare him done with the national team.

Then again, someone who's seen him play a lot more could come in here and say different.

I just assumed Bradley was too high on Convey. Therefore I just assumed he was done on the USA squad

Great for Ghana. Too bad bad success at the youth levels doesn't necessarily translate to success at the senior levels.

Today was probably the first Saturday I didn't watch the Prem. Championship, a little Eredivisie and La Liga, and MLS.

Probably is a result of going to be ad 4 last night and missing my alarm for the Villa/Chelsea game, but still, it was nice to see some other styles of the game.

Quite right. Newcastle were absolutely awful.
