Pens v Caps was awesome last night. Malkin was dancing around the Caps like he was Baryshnakov.

If the Pens can keep up the pressure the way they did in the second half of game 3 it should be a hell of a series. Is it just me or does Varlamov look like the vet, and MAF look like the skittish rookie in this series. That first goal given up was ridiculous.

Unlucky break, but yeah, he is still making mistakes of going out of his net way to much. But at least they got the win, and that goal didn't cost them the victory.

The penguins need to get some more secondary scoring going if they want to win this series and go beyond. But it is nice to see Malkin actually doing some offence again. Now if he would just stop dogging it back on the back check.

You would have to assume that Gonchar is out at least tomorrow and probably the rest of the series. If that's the case, then the Pens are screwed. How bout the Canes? They just might be playing better than anybody right now.

The Canes are playing incredible hockey these days. Pretty much the same team that won the cup previously...so they know exactly what they gotta do to get there.

Interesting fact....the Canes have only made the playoffs twice in the past 6 years (this year being the 3rd time). Both trips were to the Cup Finals...one win and one loss.

So basically the Hurricanes are 8-1 in their last 9 playoff series and about to make it 9-1.

I haven't even been able to watch the Canes play a full game yet but from all reports they are playing great team hockey.

Are they comparable to the Ducks in the way that they play?
