I like Brian Kendrick's "Brian Pillman on Xanax" gimmick...

I havent seen him in TNA yet. Is he doing the "pro wrestling artist" gimmick, where he intentionally does a bunch of rest holds and has bad matches on purpose? That gimmick bombed tremendously at the Dragon Gate USA show in Philly on Thanksgiving weekend.

Even if he's just spoofing the WWE working style, the gimmick dosent work because its waaaaay too inside. Plus nobody like boring matches. Except Vince.

I'm hoping Punk wins the rumble (not holding my breath). Most think HHH will win and that would royally suck.

Still hope he doesn't get a WM main event (at least not the last match) after his match last year killed the crowd at the end of the show.

Hopefully it will be a good show tonight.

I'm pulling for a Dibiase upset win at the Rumble. But who knows. I'm actually pretty intrigued because this is the first Rumble in like...7 years where I didn't know who was going to win. It really CAN be a ton of guys this year.

He is doing it similar to the way he started out with the THE Brian Kendrick gimmick in the WWE. Kind of erratic loner behavior...moment of mania, moment of solitude thing...Brian Pillman on downers.

Imagine how awkward it was doing it in front of 700 people who paid to see 170 lb Japs fly around and work at 100mph.

Kind of a clever way to heel, but he ended up getting the X-Pac "go away" heat, and a noticeable-yet-polite "don't come back" chant.

A surprise appearance (Cena, Edge), but never an upset winner.

I ordered the Rumble (the one PPV I always seem to get). It was alright.
Edge wasn't a huge surprise, a ton of signs in the audience.
All the pre-matches, save for the women's match, were solid.
I didn't like the whole CM Punk part of the Rumble, it took away from the Rumble IMO.

I liked the Punk stuff, besides being eliminated by HHH. Besides Edge and HBK, Punk will be one of the guys people remember from this rumble.
