Actually, I thought the debut of Lashley on the PPV was pretty good. One of the few good things about that pay per view. Doing it that way, they managed to keep it quiet. They also made it seem like a big deal. If they hyped the crap out of it beforehand and everyone knew, I don't think the reaction would have been the same. As for doing the same thing on Impact this week... well, its TNA, so you can't expect good things consistently.
Foley winning the belt still makes me shake my head. And apparently, the big "pay off" of the whole MEM storyline is going to be Angle-Foley at some point in the future. Now I know that Impact's ratings have gone up some recently, which shows show that guys like Foley have some positive impact. But the entire MEM storyline has been going on for about six months now and has yet to get a single younger worker over. No one has moved up on the card from where they were before because of involvement. Isn't that what this kind of storyline should be for? What's the point of keeping your 40-something stars on top and having no one capable of replacing them? That was the downfall of the NWO and a big part of what killed WCW, yet TNA is repeating the same mistakes. I do not get it.Comment

Someone that his size, really should be actually in the ring for his debut. Instead, I think they're setting him up to take on Angle.
I just don't understand debuting someone like Lashley in this manner, when they really hyped up the debut of that hack Brutus Magnus. Hell, Brutus hasn't even been on TV in a long ass time.
Guess TNA just doesn't understand that you don't have to use your entire roster for every fucking show.
And so ends the weekly rant of how TNA pisses me off.
but he wont im sure next batch of inpact tapings they will give away Joe vs Lashley or what ever the dream match there is away on free TV ala Bret vs Hogan back in WCW.
you nailed team 3D
you mentioned Rhino thats about all hes good for is a sypathy title shot every 12 months rinse and repeat. he should be having blood bathes with Abyss or who ever else they can find, Sandman? hell maybe biuld someone new.
but they wont because they cant see the forest for the trees. CW wrestling, Hardcore wrestling are 2 things you can do that right now WWE is not.
The MEM thing witch is the same tired storyline that been done befor, always makes the young guys look like shit as a group.Comment

I have this feeling from RAW that maybe Shane will turn tonight and join Legacy. I'd say it is about a 15% chance. Doubtful, but who knows. All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.
"rammer" and "cummings"
The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.Comment

Spoiler in white
Can't remember the last show where all the titles changed hands. All three new world champions. All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

I went to see Backlash live and it was quite interesting to say the least. If any of you guys were watching the Hardy match and saw the fans stand up and all look one way it was because there was a fight in the crowd and some guy flipped another guy down a couple rows of seats. Supposedly it they were arguing which Hardy was better lol. Also some guy got hurt when Cena FUed Edge into the stands lol.
I thought the pay per view was very good especially compared to wrestlemania but this is coming from someone who only watches pay per views and doesnt really follow the story lines.Comment

Dude gets chokeslammed into a searchlight, and the very next night he's able to be on Raw (and standing upright no less). This is just fucking ridiculous!
What I don't get is why you have a non-wrestler make your brand new champion and primary heel look bad by beating him with a kendo stick? What was the point to that?Last edited by Bigpapa42; 04-27-2009, 10:16 PM.Comment

No title changes at WrestleMania, but all three change hands at Backlash.
BACKLASH
Not WM, the big ticket event, the one that cost extra to see on PPV, the one that draws the biggest live gate of the year...
BACKLASH
No logic, everything hot shotted, booking holes galore, boring matches....such a bad product.Comment

Agreed, lmao @ giving Orton the belt @ Backlash.. in a 6-man tag match, instead of giving him the proper payout at WM. This proves how egotistical HHH is that he refused to lose at the companies biggest PPV event.Comment
