Pretty sure what Punk is doing is with approval. Vince "produces" the commentary himself - he's literally in the guys headset throughout the show. Punk is doing some similar stuff to what Striker has done at times, with a bit more of an edge and humor. The Colt Cabana T shirt really wasn't that much different from when he put Misawa's name on his fist tape. The comment about him just buying a jacket is an inside joke at him reportedly getting squashed by Taker at HIAC last year over his "un champion like" wardrobe. And the comments about Cena being able to get in and out of the ring is really just voicing what those who are logical are thinking anyway. As J-Diz points out, I think Punk is supposed to be saying what we're thinking and its intentional.

He pissed everyone off by banging all the divas "before he was a star", he pissed everyone off by doing "jap moves" and "not knowing how to work", he pissed everyone off by not following the dress code, etc, etc, etc. He's been in hot water before, but he's also savvy enough to know that as long as he gets over and stays over, he'll be ok.

When it comes to his commentary, I seriously doubt he's being told to say the inside stuff. Vince wasnt at King Of The Ring, he was on his way to visit the troops. I think half of the stuff he says goes over Vince's head anyway, and I suspect when the wrong people catch up with the rest, they will attempt to cut his balls off just like they did with Joey Styles and Matt Striker. It won't work, and they'll just yank him from commentary. I'd bet anyone a million dollars that nobody in power even knew that the Colt Cabana shirt was a wrestling related shirt of a guy who used to be on the roster. Vince, Dunn, Steph, etc are far more clueless to anything outside the WWE bubble than most realize.

Absolutely. He's drunk as fuck, but that just underscores how pathetically stupid that Sheamus angle was.

Sheamus is the WWE heel for the next 10 years, period. He's won the title twice, he's King of the Ring; he needs to be treated like a monster right now. The fact that he's feuding with John Morrison is, in and of itself, short changing what you've already established for him. Sheamus should be destroying midcarders. Now, I think they're going to have Sheamus go over in this feud, but the fact that the feud is happening is killing his credibility.
