I don't know if TNA is good, or simply a result of it being not as bad as it used to be. They simply have cut out 75% of the stupid and kept it all pretty basic and formulaic, which is good, B- level wrestling, which is fine considering the WWE is giving us shit right now.

The Brooke Hogan stuff and the Dixie/AJ stuff is just horrendous though...but it seems the AJ/Dixie thing is over...but Brooke is brutal.

The PPV was very good, and tonights TV was 100% watchable.

The Aries/Hogan segment was good. Aries is on fire and super over.

The rest of the show had a clear direction, with the Bound for Glory series 'open challenges', the Knockouts stuff w/Brooke, and the Gut Check. Nothing was rushed, and nothing totally sucked until the horrendous AJ/Dixie/preggo crackhead segement that ended the show.

I found it far more watchable than any RAW in recent memory, and i'm way more interested in what is going on in TNA right now than WWE. I will watch next week.

I will say this too, I like the production values of Impact better than WWE. Something about the way it's shot, it's just a cleaner and more modern look. The show also flows 1,000X better live, without the jump cuts and awful editing that used to make everything feel rushed. The pace of the show was perfect tonight.

They have my full attention for the first time in probably years.

Listened to Cabana's 100 episode with Punk. Funny stuff plus some more serious stuff mixed in. Cabana talking about how sometimes he wishes he was more famous so he could do more positive things for people. Punk told a story about going to a Pirates game on his way home and getting stopped by fans, and a lot more.

I like how TNA has those BFG tournament matches on the road at house shows. I've always been a proponent of non generic house shows. It makes the customer feel like they are paying or a show that matters, and not just the same non storyline show that the company does on every city.

I was reading the wiki page for the lead singer of Disturbed and came across the random fact that he's married to former "WWE Diva" Lena Yada.

Vaguely remember her.

Makes at least 4 former WWE ladies getting famous boyfriends and husbands (Keibler, Wilson, Gail Kim, Yada). Any others (besides Eve...Gracie's only famous to MMA nerds)?

Anyone got any thoughts on Best in the World 2012?

I would like to think Davey v. Steen 2 will be better than their first, which was good, but not amazing.

I am looking forward to Michael Elgin and Fit Finlay...that should be fun.

Finlay matches are either great or meh. Hia last round of EVOLVE matches were closer to meh. We'll see. Steen/Davey are going to tear the house down I would suspect the second time around. Davey talking legit retirement again.

Last ROH ppv was pretty incredible, one of the best shows of the year. It will be hard to match that.

Very ECW-esque promo, complete with (un)steady cam and big stiff who can't work or talk (911, Big Dick Dudley, Big Guido, etc) utilized properly as a menacing bodygaurd type. I can't believe Eli Cottonwood is still employed, but guys like Alex Kozlov and Colt Cabana get cut. Anyway, that's not my point here.

What do you guys think of this?

I'm really digging it. Husky Harris has been shutting shit down on FCW with this gimmick. I can't wait until they bring him up to Smackdown or RAW.
