      Watched SmackDown.

They need to shit or get off the pot with this "Will Big Johnny get fired finally?" bullshit.

Also, AJ needs to chew some Orbitz after getting a dirty mouth from frenching Kane...

All that soot is bad for your teeth.

Finally, Ryback is growing on me but he needs to move up from jobbers to some substantial competition... my problem is can he work beyond squash matches without getting gassed?

I was listening to some shitty radio show today on Sirius ('Busted Open' is what it's called, and its fucking terrible, all they do is talk about shitbox WWE nonsense, and not even in a good, analytic, interesting way), and the host actually made a good point. He said TNA, ever since Russo has been ousted, has really done a great job elevating the titles and making them important, much more so than the WWE titles which mean absolutely nothing. And it's true. Part of that is the fine work of guys like Aries, and great matches like the tag title match at Slammiversary, but the booking has been solid lately, too.

Let's hope TNA doesn't fuck this up. The momentum is good. The show has my attention.
WWE's titles mean less than nothing. WWE keeps reminding of this by having Punk's good, long title reign constantly take a second fiddle to whatever fucking shitass feud Cena has gone on. And they are going to do it again on this PPV.

Fed talked about this on the podcast. "Evil authority figure storyline" is always the top priority and storyline in the company.

A company with two world titles at stake on a PPV this Sunday, is headlining said PPV with a match to determine whether Johnny Ace keeps his heel authority figure spot. And fucking Big Show is involved in the match. BIG SHOW. I mean, who really honestly wants to see Big Show wrestle in 2012?

And it is consistent. I wouldn't mind if there was a match once or twice a year that involved the evil authority figure, but it's now every ppv.

I said it a little bit ago, but they need to bring back the hardcore title and have something like TNA's TV Title.

They really don't need to add more meaningless titles to the bunch...BUT...they could definitely use something for the midcard and lower tier guys because right now, practically all of them are just treading water.

That's the US belt right now but they don't emphasize the importance of winning anything unless it's Punk talking about himself being the best in the world b/c he has his strap and even then...the fucking guy hasn't main evented a show all year. Ie...they're telling us belts mean shit.

Fuck Vince for killing tag team wrestling, btw.

If they added more titles and took the focus off the evil heel GM, it could work.

And I do agree with the tag team thing. It is beyond terrible what has happened to the tag team division when compared to 10 years ago.

Vince says tag team don't draw.

Of course, his father built his business on tag teams. Antonino Rocca & Miguel Perez were the top MSG draw for like a decade. Pre-Bruno, WWWF was always known as a tag team territory with big tag matches on top.

Then you have The Road Warriors, Rock & Roll Express, Fabulous Ones, and others as recently as the 80's and early 90's that were legitimate main event draws.

The reason tag teams don't draw, is because Vince booked them in a manner that told customers not to take them seriously. Self fulfilled prophecy, and yet another reason Vince has yet again left tons of money on the table.

I hate the WWE model of slapping any two guys together and making them a tag team. At least TNA has tried to generate decent tag teams in the past.

Sometimes, it works. I actually like R-Truth and Kofi, but the reason they are together is because there was no room for them elsewhere. Same reason the Miz went from being close to the top to jobbing for Brodus Clay. They put a whole lot of time and effort into putting guys like Miz and R-Truth near the top, and then just let them fall.

Yeah, I had to cheat to double-check, but I kinda figured. Not quite the same as he used to be.

Do you frequent that blog, W2B? They do a recap show after Raw and SD on The Score that's half decent, considering its basically schilling the product.

Im not sure thats Abdullah the Butcher.. he looks a lot cleaner then usual if it is. I figure it was someone else who ballooned up.

Speaking of Abullah the Butcher, they were running a short documentary about a Canadian kid who apparently had his wrestling career cut short bcus Abdullah the butcher gave him Hep B. He had just been signed by the WWE after years of trying just a few months before finding out. Pretty sad story.
