I know Gut Check is a work...it just is nonsensical.
If you have two "Gut Check" contestants...the WIN should mean everything. You are basically saying "wins and losses don't matter"...which, of course they don't...but that isn't what you want to promote and tell your fans.
I understand that, when they were going against TNA contracted talent, the W or L didn't matter, but if they are going against another Gut Check contestant...the WINNER should be judged. Otherwise, it tells the fans that what they are watching means nothing.Comment

And, is it just me...
Or should Aces & 8's be faces? Bad Influence faces? Matt Morgan...a face. They are all of the talent that basically think Hulk Hogan is an idiot or has slighted them in some way.
I mean, let's be honest...Hulk Hogan is a real scumbag boss as a general manager. Would you want to work for Hogan? Would you want to go to war for Hogan? This guy gives #1 contendership and title matches to guy that don't earn them and does so via dumb deliberations. His new hiring process (Gut Check) is nonsensical. He basically put his "son-in-law" in a world title match for no reason. He lets his daughter run roughshod over the female talent...what qualifications did she have?
If Hulk Hogan was your boss...and there are a ton of Hulk Hogan like bosses out there...you wouldn't like working for him either. He's an idiot.

As an aside...this is why I like watching the gooks. I don't have to think so much about why shit doesn't make sense.Comment

What I don't get about the Gut Check bullshit....they choose 1 of the 2 to have the opportunity to get the contract.
So, they say Adam Pearce doesn't have whatever it is they want...so they give that opportunity to the luchador.
BUT, 2 of the judges immediately say NO.
WTF. If 2 thought the guy sucked, why not give Pearce the chance?

So I didn't have time to watch Impact, but what was the purpose of giving the tag belts back to Hernandez and Guerrero? Are they about ready to break up Aries and Roode? I woudn't, those guys are gold, and should have a shot at getting all of the damn belts.Comment

He was always on those wrestling Roundtables. They'd tape 5-6 of those in a day and he'd puff down 5 cigars just talking about all of the random shit they'd talk about on those shows.Comment

The TNA tag team scene with these three teams is pretty awesome, so i dont mind the title change. Honestly they should have done it in San Antonio at Lockdown where Hernandez was super over, but doing it in Corpus was just as good. Only Sting, Hogan, and maybe Hardy were over more than Hernandez tonight. Big pop for the change.
I'd get rid of Brooklyn Brawler first. He has literally no insight on anything.Comment

this is great and everybody should watch it
Cena/Punk from RAW might end up being the only WWE tv match all year better than this
this should be required viewing at every wrestling school in the world
Regal might be the most underutilized piece of talent of all time. He is so good. In some ways he derailed his own career, but he's probably top five in the company today at 45 years old.Comment

After the show we caught, Roode, Styles, Bad Influence, Storm, Anderson, Dlo, Snow, Petey, Joey Ryan, and Jesse Sorensen at the Whataburger by the bay. Great night. Daniels was complaining about the writing and getting the beat down by the Aces and 8s to Dlo. Lol Daniels also told some fans that Jeff Hardy was dead and that he killed him.Comment

It says something when the uber wrestling geek fans that are wrestlers look up to Regal with such esteem. Those boys love his villainy.
Regal, though, only has himself to blame for not being what he should have been. Something he usually admits to.Comment
