The funny by-product of the WWE having Sheamus squash Danielson is that it makes The Miz look weak. Danielson just beat Miz. Twice. Miz is probably going to be world champion sooner or later, especially with the MITB case. Unless their entire intent was to have Miz look like a weak champion, that was dumb on a lot of levels.

W2BTD, gotta agreee that TNA's lack of any sort of interest in developing truly home-grown talent is head-scratching. Although since Hogan & Bischoff took over, its obvious they have zero desire or ability to create any new stars at all. Or even have original ideas. I'm sure "They" will turn out to be something original, like an NWO reunion and then I can give up on TNA for good. Everyone wins!

Kevin, ROH on HDNet is quality. Some great wrestling. Emphasis on the actual in-ring stuff, with just enough storyline to keep things interesting. Some feuds that feel legit. W2B is right - the old ROH stuff is amazing. If you enjoy what you see now, you definite one to check out some of the older stuff - Punk v Joe, Joe v Kobashi, Joe v Danielson, Danielson v McGuiness, Raven v Punk, Danielson v Homicide... So much greatness...

This could be any number of factions, Japan is very faction based. Many are similar to Evolution in that you have veterans who take young guys under their wing.

I'm trying to think of something in New Japan that would fit this description, but i'm coming up blank. I need more clues.

Yeah, I dont know man. Off the top of my head I cant really come up with anything. And because of the style differences, I can't really think of anyone who works Orton's methodical, stalking style in Japan.

As far as reccomending stuff from Japan, I can do that. But it's like asking "what's a good book to read?". Hard to answer unless I know what kind of style you are into. You like juniors? Strong style stiff heavyweights? Hardcore/garbage? Gimmicks?

The only two guys who sorta fit the description would be Shinsuke Nakamura & Hirooki Goto. Both are 7 year pro's, both have been hailed as future aces, and both were part of the heel faction "RISE" circa 2007.

Nakamura was the "leader" (HHH), Goto would have been closer to the Orton "Evolution" role as the up and comer. The stable didn't really have a Flair-like member. The rest of the guys were young wrestlers Minoru, Milano Collection AT, & Prince Devitt, and americans Tomko, Giant Bernard (A-Train), and Low Ki (Kaval).

I recall Goto being involved in a MOTY candidate a year or two ago. For whatever reason, I want to say it was the May 09 match against then NJPW champ Tanahashi.

Good match. Shogun is a Kenny Omega mark. How Prince Devitt isn't working in the U.S. is beyond me. Not like I want to see him waste away in WWE or , go forbid, TNA, but just sayin'.
