The Rock has been butt-hurt about multiple things for months. He came off crazy butt-hurt in many of his Cena' promos pre-WM.

If you consider him butt-hurt now, then he always has been. Thats what he does. The Cena promos were cookie-cutter Rock, smack and catchphrase fests. That'd be like saying Flair or Cena come off a certain way. They're always the same. Rock tries to belittle someone, Flair goes crazy, and Cena turns into Sportscenter highlights when I change the channel. They're promos are always the same.

He's not the goofball that he was with, say, the Hurricane. But would you expect him to be when he's there in part to promote whatever crappy action movie he's in now? I mean, we're talking about an average at best wrestler who made a name for himself by belittling Austin and Trips and Jericho. If he didn't respond belittling Punk or Cena, then he wouldn't be the Rock. He'd be Jeff Hardy or John Morrison, or someone else who isn't allowed a mic often.

The Cena stuff is fine, because he's in a year long build with him for a match that is expected to do huge business.

The Punk stuff comes off very insecure to me, and it's shocking to me that he may have been worked by that promo.
