Also, can we admit that smiling, fun loving babyface Sheamus is not working? I know this company needs faces, but Sheamus, Orton, and Miz were born heels.

Sheamus is a fine face in certain circumstances and programs...but he is not a lead face. Orton is the biggest douche on the planet. There is nothing face about him. Miz should always be your untalented, smarmy heel. No one should want to cheer him.

I also think Punk is a much better heel than face...at best the anti-hero that gives no fucks about the crowd, just his moral code.

The thing with Punk, is people want to cheer him anyway. He can do the same act he does now and be a face. In that respect, he's a terrible heel, because he can't get the people to completely turn on him. May not even be his fault. Like the Road Warriors. Everybody tried to turn them heel until they realized it was pointless. People aren't going to hate certain acts, ever.

I think this company is in for a really rough stretch after WM29 they have to start building new guys, I mean legit guys that can main event or be strong in the mid card. You have guys like Cesaro and Sandow but thats about it, Sheamus is going to be 35 this year Ryback is Ryback, they have made Dolph look like a geek, CM Punk will be gone within a year or two. And Cena is already breaking down. I mean putting together a mess like this would usually cost someone their job.

Road Warriors were a face for 99% of their careers. They debuted as heels...they were so awesome, people loved them...they never ever changed their gimmick. They were always the Road Warriors...people just loved them.

The problem was, they spent all that time ignoring indie talent when the were signing bodybuilders & models. So your Mason Ryans and Zeke Jacksons flamed out (shock!), and it took them too long to 'discover' the Cesaro's and Hero's and Danielson's, and now a lot of these "fresh" faces are over 30 already.

Remember when we talked about Christopher Daniels being old as fuck, but hasn't aged in 15 years? The best thing Cesaro did was shave his head. As long as he stays in shape, he will look the same for another decade.

I think with H's in the mix as one of the heads of creative and certainly developmental...the age thing is going to be a little moot for a while.

Throw in Punk, Sheamus (when he's not forced to do Cena-lite comedy), Sandow and guys like Kidd and Kofi who never get to go past a certain point...they have the guys.

My point, is why were people like Danielson, Cesaro, Hero, Aries, Low Ki etc toiling away in the indies as late as 2009, 2010 in some cases when people knew some of these guys were more than ready in 2006?

The WWE jumped on these guys too late because they were focused with finding non wrestlers with no passion and teaching them how to wrestle, instead of finding wrestlers who knew how to wrestle, had a passion for wrestling, and understood wrestling.

And TNA is even more to blame, because aside from Joe they had a chance to scoop up every single one of these guys and failed. Fuck, they had Punk & Aries years ago and let them go! TNA could have signed all of these dudes in 2006, mixed in a few vets to put them over, and who knows what could have happened. Heyman may have taken that job, as opposed to turning it down in 2009 or whatever when the ship had sailed.

I'm talking long term 5-10 years from now all those guys are in their early to mid 30's. I just don't see top guy material in anyone on the current roster hell most of the guys you listed can't talk worth a damn or have a dumb name and gimmick.
