This week's episode of Monday Night Raw brought in an average 4.3 million viewers, which brings the SummerSlam post-show up over 4% from last week's go-home episode. Raw did averages of 4.08, 4.49 and 4.33 million viewers across all three hours, respectively. The final cable television rating was a 3.24, up from last week's 3.0.
This is good news for WWE, as they went up against pre-season Monday Night Football, which will be their biggest competitor every week for the next several months.Comment

MNF, even preseason, always takes a chunk out of RAW.
That rating is a major positive, and was a very important rating for Daniel Bryan.Comment

If Cena doesn't tear his triceps when he did, presumably they are not put in a position where they're forced to put someone fresh in the #1 babyface spot. So, either Bryan is passed over for the SS main event (can't remember if Cena was hurt before that decision was made, have to assume so) or he just loses to Cena, right?
Funny how things work out like that.
Sucks he got hurt though.

WWE was irate and Flair got in big, big trouble for this. He was all set to sign a new deal and they yanked it off the table.Comment

Wow that match was great. Call up Zayn NOW!
Most underrated part I think is Alex Riley on commentary. I think he's a keeperComment

The four best workers in WWE right now are Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, El Generico, and Claudio Castagnoli.
Nobody should be surprised, but just let that sink in.Comment

Also, TNA had YEARS to try to get these guys & others like Ambrose, PAC, etc while WWE was dicking off with models & bodybuilders. I know not all of them would have gone to TNA, but by all accounts they never bothered to try. Shit, they DID have Punk and let him slip away.Comment

Warner, I may steal your tweet and write a piece about August 13 being the best wrestling month ever.Comment

I'd swap Christian for Ambrose, but the point remains. Everybody dropped the ball on these guys 7 years ago. They were ready then.Comment
