On Sunday, I was in the chatbox discussing teams with guys who are still looking for teams. I've made no secret of my feelings about Liverpool over the years at MM and VSN and it's guys like cj that lend credence to that opinion, shouting down more rational and right thinking fans like MGOblue.

Kennyn had a year and bottled it terribly. Chelsea spent a similar amount of money, ended up with a better trophy a higher league position and a chance at the CL. And yet AVB paid with his job when they struggled. If anyone could have justified more time, I think it's the guy who was expressly bought to change a clubs culture.

Kenny's history means nothing when you watch all your rivals lap you

As far as Dalglish goes I'm actually quite indifferent. I wish he had stepped down and remained with the club in some manner. I think it would've been alright to give him another year but I can understand wanting to move forward. His tactics were poor all year, we never settled in a formation. This was partially due to injuries though.

As for our next manager we need to take some time and make the best decision possible. I hope they strongly consider Rafa, many players on this team were bought by him and he is a tactical genius.

The Liverpool way, as we've learned this year, is to be the most close minded fan base in England

The goal of all teams is to win. Yes it is important to show loyalty to fans, players, and coaches. However the team always trumps the individual. What is best for the team is best for all.

Kenny did not show that he was good enough to be our manager at any point since the 10-11 season ended. His transfers were poor and his tactics were poor. Two of the most important parts about being a manager. His target was 4th and he failed to reach that target. All we had to show for this season was a Carling Cup. Yes we made Europa but the current side would probably have a decently tough time getting out of the group stages.

You cannot evaluate someone, even Kenny, upon what they have done in the past. There is absolutely no question that he is the most influential and important player, maybe even person, in the history of the club. However his style of play clearly does not translate to today's game.

As I said I would have been fine giving him another year. I'm relatively indifferent towards keeping him or not. I wish he would've remained in some role at the club but I understand why he does not want to. Our owners have done nothing but show they want to keep this club moving in a positive direction and return us to the top of the league. And if we make the right hire, and add a couple quality players, there is no reason this team is not top 4 next season and competing to win Europa.

People at F365 have mentioned names like Klopp as an option. That is so far beyond laughable

Watch out, you're not supposed to talk about the new hire, it's disrespectful to Kenny/rawk

Seriously though, Klopp is the best name they've been linked to, but I don't see him interested in leaving a Champions League club. Then there's MON (lol, please do it), Rafa (they've gone back once, why do it again, plus Rafa lost the plot by the end of his tenure), Deschamps (had one good season with Marseille, decent option), and AVB (probably the best, most realistic option).

I'm not really thrilled with any of them outside of Rafa and Klopp. I really do think Rafa will come back one day but it'll be when Stevie and Carra are gone. They were the main players in forcing him out and trying to go all British.

Get these cunts out now, fucking disgraceful, as much as I hated the hiring of Hodgson I got behind him because he was our manager, I've learned my lesson though won't be happening this time, what a fucking joke

Would help if we spent like a top 4 side, I normally respect your views and opinions but you're flat out wrong, thank god you're in the minority when it comes to this.

Wut. FSG's net spending has been about 43 million pounds since taking over. They've spent more than everyone but Man City and Chelsea. 5 other teams besides them finished in front of us. FSG has spent like a top 4 team and you are delusional if you think they didn't give Kenny everything he need to make this club successful. We decided to blow 35 million on Carroll, another 20 on the likes the of Downing too. Thats a combined 55 million on two players who haven't done too much, though in Carroll's defense he has started to come around. However he is hardly worth 35 million. Charlie Adam was disappointing as well.

I'm going to air all my grievances with this team now.

Kenny spent the money in the wrong places. Don't place blame on Comolli either because Kenny has the final say. FSG has done nothing but show a commitment to winning. I'm sure they'll be shelling out more money this summer anyways.

I also find it laughable that you're quoting the Liverpool Way in regards to building a team, which would consist of developing a sense of unity and solid tactical plan throughout the club over several years yet are clamoring for FSG to spend even more and for LFC to act like a top 4 club whose style you seem to be against.

Lets not forget that it was FSG who saved the club from dire financial straits and brought a sense of purpose back. If I recall correctly we were nearing administration and they bought us. So to want them out is absolutely ridiculous. They brought in Kenny which is what we wanted, the club has regressed since the end of last season. Kenny actually did better with a mix of Roy and Rafa's players than his own. Judging Kenny on his most recent tenure he did not do much to instill confidence in anyone and the club looked lost in many games this season. They lacked fire and passion. They looked like a bunch of guys playing for a check and not to win.

Quite frankly the player I am most disappointed with was Steven Gerrard. He has not acted like a captain. He gets lazy during games and I don't see much leadership from him on the pitch. There is no doubt he is still a quality player but I don't know about him as a leader. We also have to stop catering to him so much, like we just saw with Kenny, no one is larger than the club. Enrique and Reina also seemed distant and apathetic at times. Reina, by his standards, was quite poor this year. Downing goes without saying but he is everything that is wrong with modern soccer. Overpaid, lacks guts, and doesn't appreciate who he plays for.

Agger, Carra(old but he still has the fire), Skrtel, Lucas, Suarez, Kuyt, and even Henderson, sometimes, looked like they gave a shit. I have no doubt when these guys are on the field they will do whatever it takes to win. Andy did too following the Newcastle game at St. James. He realized he won't be going back to Newcastle and really started to give it his all for us. I think he could turn into a type of player listed above but he isn't there yet. They are who I would build the club around and I would look to get players with similar personalities. I would like to see Skrtel or Lucas wearing the armband when Gerrard is not in games next season.

Carroll was all Comolli not to mention that as soon as we payed that ridiculous price for him which was all Comolli's doing, every club was gonna try and rape us over fees (Swansea asked for 40 mil for Scotty Sinclair for fucks sake), United spent more in one window on 3 useless players than we have since FSG took over, where the squad was their net spend has been nowhere near where it needs to be if they were expecting a top 4 finish in the first season simple as that, no matter what Kenny said because he would never throw anyone under the bus we didn't spend in January when it was obvious we needed a striker and someone to replace Lucas and FSG have to be held accountable for that. I mean look at what City have spent and they barely won the league, yes the new signings have been disappointing but at the same time the benefit of the doubt needs to be given, it takes time to gel and it's a big step up for these players, the pressure of paling for us is matched only by playing for the mancs. Hendo has shown flashes and in a few years will be top notch, Enrique has been solid, Adam has been shite but he cost 6 mil and could still prove to be a decent squad player so whatever, Downing has been a let down yes but given the year the whole team has had, his confidence is shot and it's a big step up especially with that fee (which once again ties into the outlandish fee we paid for Andy which Kenny has no responsibilty in at all), should of settled in by now but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and will wait till next year until I judge him, i know I'm in the minority but I think he's a good player and we will see the real him during the Euros.

Kenny had final say on the players so we are lead to believe but the fees come down to Comolli simple as. FSG have spent fuck all, especially considering the state the squad was in, where we were they have spent nowhere near enough if the aim was to get back into the top 4 first season.

I also find it laughable that you're quoting the Liverpool Way in regards to building a team, which would consist of developing a sense of unity and solid tactical plan throughout the club over several years yet are clamoring for FSG to spend even more and for LFC to act like a top 4 club whose style you seem to be against.
Money needs to spent there's no 2 ways about it, the way they've went about their business is not the Liverpool Way. The absolute class way that Kenny has handled himself in, that's the Liverpool Way

Lets not forget that it was FSG who saved the club from dire financial straits and brought a sense of purpose back. They have been absent, I mean they couldn't even be bothered to be there for a Merseyside semi, no stadium plans, hanging Kenny out to dry over the whole Suarez affair, no chief executive and that spineless cunt Henry refusing to shake Kenny's hand, they've been lackluster so far and there is no excuse. Sacking Kenny to bring in Martinez shows how fucking clueless they are, get them out soon as.

Quite frankly the player I am most disappointed with was Steven Gerrard. He has not acted like a captain. Fact odf the matter is it's c;ear to anyone that we were getting there, good football was being played and I'm not making excuse but even a quarter of the shots that hit the woodwork/missed penalties go in and we aren't even talking about this not to mention Andy's second goal in the final. Lucas was out, Stevie was out, Luis missed a quarter of the season. There were loads of mitigating circumstances and the fact is that because who Kenny is who he is he deserved another at least another season to see it through, the man has brought us back from the brink twice is Liverpool through and through and for him to be treated this way is a fucking travesty, if you can't/don't understand this you aren't a true Liverpool fan.
