Weak troll is weak troll.
Am I supposed to be upset that we're likely to finish 2nd in the league now when we were never supposed to be here in first place? Sucks, but that's the way it goes. We weren't good enough to close the season, but we'll be back. Regardless of the result tonight, it's been an exciting season to be a Liverpool supporter.

Noel Gallagher with the best troll of the evening...
"It was nice to see Suarez in tears at the end because he is a blatant cheat," Gallagher said to talkSPORT. "It was an endearing image, Gerrard too.
"I can't believe he [Suarez] won the Football Writers' Award. They went 3-0 and got caught up in the emotion.
"Nobody wins by six or seven in the Premier League - unless you're playing Tottenham or Arsenal."Comment

Super disappointing... Hopefully they can pull it together and make another run for Stevie G next season.
At least Celtic won the league.... Two months ago.

Excuse us for being excited after winning 11 in a row with a team that finished 7th last year. Despite today's result, the title will still be decided on the final day. And we weren't supposed to be here. Even in January we were battling for 4th.Comment

Play the "we weren't supposed to be here" card all you want. If it makes you feel better, do it.
But don't expect most of us to accept it. No more than Arsenal supporters can say that feel no disappointment at the swoon that took us out of the tittle race because "we weren't really supposed to be top this season" and it was "expected". It still fucking sucks and it still hurts and you still mull on what could have been.
Any supporter who can be genuinely satisfied with second in this kind of circumstance and have no second thoughts would appear lacking in passion. And I would say the same thing of an Arsenal supporter who truly felt that finishing 4th is an entirely satisfactory accomplishment for a season.Comment

Of course it sucks, I was devastated after the Chelsea match. I already accepted we weren't winning the title after that game so today's result doesn't affect me as much.
You still have to consider the circumstances of how we got here though. We have a very small squad and made an excellent run. We won 11 in a row, these losses could've happened at any point during the last 13 games and we'd be in the same damn spot. Were still going to have a shot on the last day but the title race was out of our hands after the Chelsea match. City are too good and too experienced to screw it up now. So we'll take second, go buy some players and enjoy a return to the champions league. I fully believe we will challenge for the title again next year. This is the beginning, not the culmination, of an era.
Now the rest of you bitter fucks go ahead and talk about smug we are, especially those of you in Europa next year. We'll smack you around again next year.Comment

Stop acting like Europa's a shit competition. You guys over-achieved this year and are in the CL, congrats. We over-achieved and are in Europa, but I'm damn disappointed we couldn't finish 4th.

I don't like to shit on people when they just suffered devastation.... I will say that this can't happen. It just cannot. You can't be 3-0 up and blow the lead. I thought B.R. was pretty naive the past two weeks, and no title winning players to lead them on the field really hurt them as well. Goals are fun and nice, but titles are better.
But I don't think you can act like this is ok since you weren't supposed to be here. Who gives a fuck about pre-season predictions. At the turn of the year, this was a real possibility. No cups, no Europe, on a roll, competition down. This had to be the year. Double over United, steam rolled Tottenham, got the better of Everton. This was it. And it was choked away.Comment

Were gonna be hanging out at the top of the table for awhile. We can score goals better than anyone, just have to plug some leaks.
Seems like Everton celebrates Liverpool losing more than their own team winning tbh.Comment

Yes it sucks massively that we blew it. But let's put this in perspective. We were 7th last season. 7th. This has been the most exciting season we've had in ages. Just a few years ago we were staring administration in face and then Owlface had us flirting with the relegation zone. It fucking sucks. But if you expect me to come in here and rage because we didn't win the league this year... Well sorry to disappoint.
Crushed with our finish? Yes. Did I have the most fun supporting Liverpool in ages this season? Yes.Comment
