I don't get it. In ring, very mediocre show. Not a single great match imo. Plenty of great and/or memorable moments. Losing the streak in such a terrible match fell flat. I hated the main event. A total clusterfuck Attitude Era trash match, but they needed to do that to get the crowd back after the Taker debacle.

Lots of "storytelling" tonight. Not my bag.
The more I think about the main event, the more I hate it. It was a good match, the Batista Bomb/RKO spot was good, it didn't need the stretcher/Foley shenanigans. It didn't need a sledgehammer. It didn't need a crooked ref. It didn't need Steph in a dive spot. It needed to be Luger/Goldberg Hogan wins. Face beats down the guy(s) cleanly by himself, his cronies come down, face dispatches them quickly, face wins clean in the middle of the ring. The crowd didn't react (after initial pop) like was expected. Too overdone.

The Cena/Wyatt match was so bad. Atrocious. I knew they would have a bad match, but that monstrosity was beyond bad.

I have to agree with the 'felt like a RAW' to me. It didn't have that 'grand stage' feel to meet, even though it was with 70,000+. Maybe because the last couple have been outside in football stadiums and this one was back in doors, so you don't get that larger than the stadium feeling. And when you really look at the card, it was nothing all that special. That battle royal just seemed like a waste of so much good talent, the Shield match should have been tomorrows RAW match, and guys like Big E were left in a stupid gimmick match and not fighting, despite being the most fighting champion since winning the title.

The night just missed that over the top awesome wrestling match that we have got over the last couple of years. That match where you are like "Easy winner for match of the night". Kind of showed how much they miss a guy like CM Punk who adds in that one extra amazing wrestler. Bryan had to do double duty.

I guess when you do 3 hour RAW's every week, slapping together a 4 hour WM isn't much work. Hopefully they continue to push some guys and make some new top level talent.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

      "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

Triple Threat matches suck. The only way to make those fuckin things any sort of coherent in the WWE bubble is to overbook'em to smithereens. The main event took the overbooking to another level though.

To be brutally fair...crowd didn't come back from the Undertaker loss until Triple H and Stephanie came out.

If he is done, there was a way to construct this "last match" in a much better way. They've done it with Michaels, Flair, and even Triple H in past Manias in similar scenarios. The build sucked, the match, to me, was executed poorly, constructed poorly, and just overall, whoever put the match together did a shitty job of it.

IMO, not the kind of shock you should be looking for, either.
And I'm probably in the minority, but I thought his match with Trips sucked all of the dicks.

I don't see how the shock is a bad thing, though. You had the most eyes on the E in a while and you created buzz and a true Wrestlemania moment. What does a win get you tonight? Or tomorrow? Not a fucking thing. The loss gets you blog posts and twitter chat out the ass.

            People LOVED this show.
Have these same people give you another number after they watch the show again.

Its easy to pop and crown a show when you are on the high of an OMG, Taker LAWST!?!? moment and Daniel Bryan finally winning the title with that "moment" of him at the end.

The fact that the show didn't have a big time match automatically disqualifies the show from being anything close to a 10.

All so they could give Batista the comeback Rumble win, so he could.....bore the crowd to death in and out of the ring.....

Completely agree, but before the Taker match when I tweeted that the show needed a great match, people were shocked I didn't think Trips/HHH & Cena/Wyatt weren't great.

What kind of goddamn conditioned mouth-breather thought Cena/Wyatt was any kind of good?

The mouth-breathers that buy all of their merch. For some reason, they are ridiculously over with them, and I can't figure out why. The gimmick does absolutely nothing for me.

                        VOW Review:

We decided to do our WrestleMania XXX review different than usual, instead of a breakdown of each move we decided to just give our thoughts on the match (the good, the bad, what we liked, etc.) and a star rating using the Dave Meltzer/Wrestling Observer Star Rating system. Another wrinkle is it’s not just one […]

I didn't hate the card, I just didn't think it was "OMG Best EVER!" or even close. More like a 6.5 (nod to MM) or possibly a 7 if you are really generous.

The main event had to have the outside interference, wouldn't make sense if HHH/Steph just gave up after the opening loss.

As for the stretcher stuff, a bit hokey? Maybe, but in the end, we had the one great spot with Orton hitting Batista with the RKO. Then, Bryan gets the big win and the crowd goes nuts for him. Exactly what it should've been.

Am I in the minority that thought the Women's Rumble was actually good for what the fuck it was suppose to be? I mean a handful of them were able to pull off moves correctly. I mean it should have been the 2nd match not so deep in the card but that match was least of my complaints lol.
