The Grizzlies will reportedly sign Darrell Arthur to a two-year contract worth a total of $9-10 million.

There will be a third-year option, according to Chris Vernon, which we presume will be a team option. Arthur is recovering from Achilles surgery, so the short length of the deal is understandable from the Grizzlies' perspective, but if healthy Arthur and Marreese Speights give Memphis two excellent backups for Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph.

Dirk still puts the ball on the floor and mixes up some post game in there with a ridiculous mid range jumper. He's fuckin wet.

Anderson can stroke that 3, but he shoots 7 of them a game. More than half of his shots are 3's! Shoots 44% from the field. Him and Dirk don't belong in the same sentence here.

No doubt, dude can ball. I want to see him repeat that again. Not to discredit his 8RPG but outside of Dwight, nobody on that squad rebounded.

Ryan Anderson is a strong stretch 4...when you got Dwight down low, your 4 can stretch and do other things.

The Nets acquiring Mirza Teletovic goes well with Dwight because he's a stretch 4 that can shoot.

Anthony Davis is a PF himself and I doubt he will be able to bang down low and battle for rebounds on a consistent basis early on in his career.

DeJuan Blair is bitter, I guess I can kind of see his perspective though.

DeJuan Blair doesn’t expect to play a fourth season with the Spurs.

“I love the Spurs, but they’ve got a lot of ‘bigs,’ and they’re bringing somebody else from overseas, so where am I going to fall at?” Blair said. “I was out of the rotation at the end of the season, so imagine next year. That’s something I really don’t want to go through again, because it tore me down.”

Blair started 62 games during the regular season, but played sparingly during the playoffs.

“The Spurs are excellent,” Blair said. “They used me to get everybody going and just get to the playoffs. That’s what it’s seemed like the last two seasons. But it’s a business, and everybody has their role, and I played mine, obviously, in the season. That’s proved right now.

“We were No. 1 the last two seasons when I was starting, and then lost in the playoffs when I wasn’t. That’s just, well, I don’t know, common sense.”

wasn't blair starting when the spurs lost to memphis?

also, the spurs lost to the thunder because they're the thunder, and they're the better and more athletic team

J.R. Smith came to terms with the Knicks on a two-year deal with the first year at $2.8 million.

The second year is a player option and we're guessing the amount is similar to Year 1, making this a solid deal for the Knicks. Obvious liabilities aside (and there are many), there aren't too many players that can heat up in a split second on offense like Smith -- and they don't often come this cheap.
