- Palm Beach Gardens offensive tackle Avery Young is going to be subject to many, many rumors in then next 24 hours. He has played things so tightly to his the vest, that much of what is heard will be, to some extent, speculation. I spoke with Young Monday afternoon and will have a story up later today, but it appears to be a battle between Auburn and UGA. Multiple sources have told us that, using logic, Young would choose Auburn because they don't have D.J. Humphries like Florida or John Theus like Georgia. Based on my conversations with Young, he doesn't give me that feeling, but only time will tell.
- When Lowndes athlete Joshua Harvey-Clemons trims his list to two teams tonight, we expect it to be down to UGA and Florida State. We have heard from multiple sources that Florida is not a serious player here, and their coaching staff believe that Harvey-Clemons is a long shot. No matter the final two, Georgia still looks like the team to beat.
- Tucker defensive end/ outside linebacker Josh Dawson is handling the process better than any player I've seen. He is calm, and understands the pros and cons of it all. He is a really impressive kid. With that said, I think Georgia will emerge as his choice tomorrow. I think they have done a great job convincing him that they can offer him a great balance of education, character development, player development, and location. He loves Vanderbilt, their recruiting class, and their staff, but Georgia looks like the team to beat.
- Cedar Grove offensive lineman Brandon Greene is keeping everyone guessing with his silence. Sure, he came out and stated that he would sign with Alabama to he Atlanta Journal-Constitution, but he said virtually nothing else. He was also non-committal on whether or not he would bring two hats to the table when he announces. Obviously, Alabama is the team to beat here, but crazier things have happened and Greene still has Georgia on his mind.
- Things have gone quiet for us on Sandy Creek wide receiver JaQuay Williams, but it looks to be a pure toss up with him at this point. We heard yesterday that both the Georgia and Auburn staffs are confident in their chances.
- Hutchinson Community College wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson is still a tough one to read as well, but we are hearing that Georgia has made a huge push in the last three to four days, and it appears that UGA is the team to beat. Tennessee and Ole Miss have made and are making a serious push, so a lot can change in 24 hours, but we would predict Georgia right now.
