Violent Femmes and Lit. :nope: They don't really qualify as one hit wonders but it's okay, their other songs just might not get the same play by you as they do around here. Posting Oasis has to be trolling, unless you have been 100% out of touch with music for the last 20 years. It's like posting a Coldplay song as a one hit wonder -- it might not be what you like to listen to but you'd need fingers in your ears to avoid it.

As to the Cranberries, man Kuzzy... I hate to groan you but if my girlfriend and her sister saw that I hadn't at least done that then I'd be a dead man and then you'd have to watch out for some angry Swedish chicks. One with a bow and arrow and the other with Mjollnir (I shit you not, gf's great uncle carved a wooden one for her, it's awesome). For that reason alone I don't think I can ever let them see this forum. Your safety and mine.

Fuck whoever said The Wallflowers btw. Sure, I'm just a huge loser and liked their first album a lot, but I wasn't the only person who liked it. There were at least two other moderate hits on their debut:

I don't think people understand what a one hit wonder is.

Hanson had like 5 or 6 top 40 singles. Yet they are universally seen as a one hit wonder. Saying the Wallflowers had a couple other decent singles on an album doesn't mitigate the fact that unless you're a true Wallflowers fan the only WF's song you know/likely have heard and really know it is "One Headlight".

Same with Jamiroqui. Virtual Insanity comes on and people instantly know who it is etc. Throw on some of his other stuff, even stuff that went Top 40 and most of the population would be clueless as to who it was etc.

For Christsakes, Ace of Base has more recognizable hits than the Wallflowers or Jamiroqui do.

For my own personal definition, I don't consider an artist a one hit wonder if they're actually good.

Digable Planets is a perfect example. Only had one hit, but both of their albums are quality. So it seems a bit cheap to call them a one hit wonder as if they have nothing else to offer.
