Brown says Dermarr will start next game

Bobcats head coach Larry Brown said Dermarr Johnson the Charlotte fan favorite will be starting the next game and so on if he continues to impress. Raja Bell will be heading to the bench and after shooting a terrible 1-7 from the field last night in the win over Miami. Brown had this to say to reporters after the game. "Raja is a great player. But Dermarr came in and I was impressed. "He played some nice defense on Dwyane, something that Raja couldn't the entire game. We need concistancy and hopefully Dermarr can bring that." Bell has shot terrible in the Bobcats last 5 games and much like Boris Diaw who came over from Phoenix in the off-season have not shown consistent basketball. Both have been up and down and now with both coming off the bench expect major off-season moves involving these 2. It seems bell has taken a defensive decline letting Kobe, Ray Allen, and if not for Dermarr possibly Dwyane Wade take over ball games the past few games. Diaw on the other hand has said to be happy coming off the bench and Larry Brown said "He's making smart plays and has improved since coming off the bench. If this continues his starting job could be earned back.". Channing Frye has been in foul trouble the past 2 games and Head Coach Larry Brown has not been happy about it.

Whatever happens both former Suns (Bell and Diaw) are both coming off the bench for now. And if Dermarr can produce like he did against Miami it might work well in Johnsons favor in the Off-Season as Charlotte might re-sign him.

He went like 2-11 and was terrible. I went with Diop early in the 4th and it payed off. Emeka came back in around the 5 Min mark and it seemed like he wasn't even out there he played so bad. I figured since he was good against the Celtics I went to him early on and it failed :laugh:

The Jazz are highly favored to win this Series. They are now a proven Powerhouse in the West and the Fast paced Warriors look to be no match for Utah. Tho going onto the Warriors home-court for games 3 and 4 could be a test for Utah to see just how good they are on the Road.

This is a classic match-up of 2 older Western Conference Rivals. New Head Coach Terry Porter leads the Phoenix Suns against the San Antonio Spurs. After everything both teams have been through such as the Robert Horry hip-check to Steve Nash and the Suns-Spurs brawl early in the Season it's fitting that both teams once again meet up in the Playoffs. Both teams are hungry and healthy. This is by far the Best 1st Round Series in the Playoffs.

2 Texas Rivals going at it. Alot of questions revolved around Houston when the Season began like if Artest was the missing link. Can T-Mac get out of the 1st Round. And even if Houstons Big 3 of Yao, Artest, and Mcgrady was better then The Boston Celtics Big 3. If was a bad Season for Houston even tho Tracy Mcgrady managed to play in 79 Games this season I don't see T-Mac getting out of the 1st Round This year. The Mavs are looking good this playoffs even without Erick Dampier who will miss the entire 1st Round with a Severe Ankle Sprain. If Dallas can overcome Dampier being out I see them having no Problems with Houston. Expect Yao to dominate down-low and Houston to put up a fight tho. This will be no cake walk for Dallas.

The Clippers shocked everyone this season when they made the move early to trade Baron Davis there off-season free agent signing to the 76ers for the expiring contract of Andre Miller. It has worked well for both clubs as they have both made the Playoffs. There will be no traveling involved in this series as both play at the Staples. It should be interesting Series since both Teams will be well resting between games. Unless there somehow a melt-down of the Lakers I can easily see LA winning this series with now 2 Time MVP Kobe Bryant leading the Way.

The Bucks are an interesting team and have made a return to the playoffs. Aquiring Mike Dunleavy from Indiana and it seems as if there only weekness is the Point Guard with Daniel Ewing as there Starter. There a good outside shooting team with Richard Jefferson, Michael Redd, and Mike Dunleavy but theres not alot anywhere else. With the trade for Iverson and the Pistons Vets it will most likely be a sweep. I just don't think the Bucks can handle all the Weapons Detroit has.

Philly is a much better team then they were last year. Baron Davis and Elton Brand handled everything in a mature way when Baron came to Philly and it's worked out good. I think Philly can steal a couple games from Orlando but thats it. Orlando's 3 Point Shooting and the Defensive Player of the Year Dwight Howard will prolly be to much for Philly. Tho I won't be surprised if the 76ers somehow find a way to win this Series.

The Nets have shocked everyone and landed the 3 Seed. Many thought the Celtics would not make the playoffs with all the injurys they had this season but they come into the Playoffs healthy and looking good. The Nets are a better team with the trade for Peja but I think Kevin Garnett will destroy them Inside and Paul Pierce for abuse Peja. Even tho the Nets are seeded Higher Boston is healthy just in time for the Playoffs. This will be a good series but the Celtics will abuse the Nets in some points that were not exploited by other teams in the Regular Season.

Can you feel the Heat? I can't. Yeah yeah yeah Dwyane Wade is back but still. Miami is a young team and Jermaine O'Neal is not what he sued to be. Like I said about the Celtics Nets series the Cavs are to good not to win this series. Sure they didn't win 50 Games or anything. But your gonna tell me the Miami Heat are gonna beat the Cavs? It's not gonna happen. If Miami beats the Cleveland I will be in shock. But this could be the start of Dwyane Wade and Lebron James being rivals. This is the best series in the East to me and it should come down to the wire for all the games in this series.
