I know it takes time to develop, I know they have a good team, but still its not worth trading away draft picks for someone who is really not a stable reciver. He had one breakout season in 06, and from then on he got worse and worse, in 07 840 yrds in 08, 430 yrds. I don't trust putting some of my draft stock on a player who had a breakout year when he had team with no other decent recievers. I dont trust putting a player who is doing worse and worse each year on my team and makign him #1.

Not saying that, just saying Crayton is a good reciever out of the slot and witten is an exelent tight end who i think can have an Antonio Gates type year at any time. He wont be an allstar. I see around 750-850 yards and 6-7 Td's. Solid numbers but not worth that much draft stock.

Its damn near impossible to judge guys when theyre on teams like Det/Cin. Had Roy gone to another team as a rook he may be a perennial pro bowler. My fear is that hes already lost 4-5 years of development under garbage coaching staffs. Only way hes worth it is if he produces the

You know how I feel about Barbie.

Spencer just needs to stay healthy. He's shown flashes of being that guy he needs to be opposite Ware. This year they're saying it's imperative that he gets Greg Ellis off the field.

Jenkins also showed some flashes, but all anyone seems to remember is him bitching out on that tackle of Brandon Jacobs. He should start this year with Henry gone.

And I have faith in Felix.

We've been solid on the mid-to late picks, though. Last year especially. So I don't buy that our scouts aren't that good.

Umm...Ware was a 1st rounder. Dallas finds majority of their talent in the 4th round. besides I looking at the little impact Roy had say we never traded that pick, we would've still had a late 1st rounder... who's worth that late 1st rounder that they could actually use? It seem like this draft lacks the type of players from the previous years.

Any trade where you give up 3 picks and make the player your #1 option in the passing game is liable to be a bust if the guy doesn't turn out to be good.

Dallas had T.O's huge ego to put up with last season. When T.O doesn't get the ball he bitches and moans, Williams didn't say anything unless I'm wrong.

With T.O gone, Roy Williams will become the Cowboys #1 receiver and a damn good one at that. He'll be fine, just fine.

I don't see what T.O. has to do with it at all, Williams isn't a saint, he bitched in Detroit just as much as T.O. bitched in Dallas, just that no one gave a damn because it was Detroit. Williams has to prove to the Cowboys that he can be the guy they traded for, because last year he just wasn't, he looked VERY bad for the Cowboys last season, rarely catching the balls that were thrown his way, if he doesn't put up monster numbers this season he will be considered a huge bust.

He's been in the NFL for 5 years now, and only once has he had more than 1000 yards in a season. With Detroit, he was probably one of the worst #1 WRs in the NFL. To mention Williams even potentially being a top 5 WR in the NFL is 'ludacris'.

So was Aikman. How far do you want to go back ?

From Parcells last draft till now only Felix Jones has shown that he may be worthy of a 1st rounder.

Based on what we've seen I'd trade carpenter jenkins and spencer for Williams.
Trading a late first rounder isnt that big a deal given Dal recent history plain and simple.

Jenkins/Spencer/F.Jones/RoyWilliams pretty much have Dal' season in there hands. If Dal has any post season hopes at least 2 of those guys have to be on a probowl level.

Hitting on 4ths and 7ths are great but sooner or later your First round picks have to pan out otherwise your wasting money and roster spots.


Lastly top 5 ? top 10 ?
The only thing Ive seen out of him is a hell of a grip on the ball. As pointed out before 1 good season out of 5 does not a top 5 make. Saying he is or can be is like throwing darts at a F.Football chart your just wild guessing.
