Got it at midnight & played till my eyes dried out. Up again, playing like a fiend...

Game is the bomb. They really upgraded and expanded from the original. Excellent touches with the dive bomb, slide, open world and all the upgrades to special combos.

I got my copy at Kmart at lunch. I honestly don't think I'll play it today though. I would really like to finish Rage first and I have to mow the lawn today.

How was the first boss battle?

 

So far, I can't really tell which are boss battles and which are just mini bosses and boss skirmishes. I had an early skirmish with two face, when rescuing catwoman. There was also a large, one armed clown with a sledge hammer that was easier than I expected. I channelled all his underling henchmen into a single file line when they followed me into the stairwell, then beat them senseless. I think he may have actually helped me beat them when he swung his hammer wildly after I shot him with a stun gun. I used the beat down move and beat him in pretty much one 10 second long string of punches. I got the feeling that I happened to be nearly perfect on that fight & that he wasn't supposed to be so easy. Maybe he was just a mini boss. So far, I'm to the part where Batman starts looking for Mr. Freeze.

I need help on the following:
How do you pull out of the nose dive, into a steady climb glide? I just keep crashing into the ground.
*edited* I figured it out, keep holding X to glide.
When standing on the riddler platforms, what are you supposed to do? Scan? What about w/catwoman?

Every Riddler platform is different. Some of them you have to throw a batarang and hit a target and others you have to take off running to grab the trophy before the cage closes. If you scan you will see the wiring for each setup it helps you figure out what to do.

been playing for a couple hours now. nothing that i can really say that people probably dont know. I mean it looks gorgeious, it runs silky smooth and got a shitload of improvements.

there is almost an overwhelming amount of skills to learn very early on. the combat is the only thing i felt comfortable with. there are so many moves you can perform and upgrades with more button combos that it becomes tricky to play early. I like having this stuff open from the start, but a little more of a tutorial or build up would have been better.

plus u have the new gliding and diving system that works great but can be a little tricky until you get the hang of it. then throw in the riddler puzzles and who knows what else i am forgetting and you should expect to feel a bit fried after a couple hours.

but then you get the hang of it and its all 2nd nature. I have only touched a small portion of the story. you really dont know when the tutorial ends and when its a good time to run and explore. I came across these side missions that allowed me to unlock some upgrades. the city seems big enough. not huge by any means, but still a large enough area to play around in

game seems very much worthy of the high scores it has received. i can see this game being a strong choice for GOTY

after you beat the hammer guy did you notice something fall to the ground? i killed him near a stairway and something was under the steps and i couldnt tell what it was. My targeting crosshair was losked on to it, but i couldnt grab it or even tell what it was from det mode.

any idea?

I haven't really done much yet except gliding around the map and doing the AR side missions (which can be a pain in the ass but not bad overall). I had a god laugh when I tossed Harley's ass into the door too. I like these QTE's that they put into the game so far.

to Be fair DC Comics has been over sexualizing Catwoman for Years, And I agree she Is a blast to play with...
