It seems like a pretty big deal to me, especially if you have one of those 4GB consoles or limited space on hour HDD. Plus the article says "almost like" the PC and PS3 versions and they still won't tell you the size of the damn install, which I would imagine is significant considering the game is out in less than a week. ZERO CHANCE they don't know how big it is considering the game has already been pressed and in most cases sitting in store back rooms now. The fact that they won't tell you the size is alarming.

As for "a lot of PS3 games needing substantial installs", the last game I remember needing anything remotely substantial, besides the recent Rage's 8GB, was MGS4 and that was several years ago.

Bomberooski, I really think you should keep your eyes on this story. There's a reason EA has only been showing the PS3 console version at all trade shows.

I just think it's funny that at this point in the 360's life it seems that every big release is multiple discs. And of course every 360 fanboy or 360 only owner is going to say "No big deal." Bullshit. How many huge installs are you going to be able to deal with? And if you play even a couple of games then what are you supposed to do, constantly delete the files and reinstall them? Fuck that.

Besides, 6 GBs, thats it? This is a non-story then. Yes i am completely ignoring the people who have 4 gigs, but that's because I know they still existed.

As far as the install on 360, people seem to be glossing over this comment:

It was kind of funny. Last night at the Uncharted event I went to a bunch of people started talking about this game before the event kicked off, and this topic came up. Most people had both consoles and were talking about how excited they were for the game. Only a few knew about this issue and almost everyone had either already decided to go PS3 or changed their mind after hearing about the second disc.

My one buddy only ever buys FPS's on the 360, which is understandable. But he decided to switch months ago. I can never convince my cousin to switch because his brother-in-law only has a 360 and he plays with him a lot. But after hearing this news last night he's probably switching.

Plus, it can't be over looked that ONLY the PS3 version has been shown at shows. If that doesn't tell you something I don't know what does.

I would honestly LOVE to play with Brnt because he's one of the few guys on the site that sticks with Battlefield on the 360. But unfortunately Jay, Pad, Hadley, Beer, Brink, and many others far outweigh one VSN'er. I might get it for 360 when it hits really cheap, like I did with BC2, but for now it's PS3 for me. I would love to see the 360 clan flourish but my bet is that they fold two months after release, maybe sooner.

Bottom line. The second disc on 360, plus PS3 version only being shown, plus the community here heavily favoring the PS3 at least when BC2 was concerned equals a no brainer PS3 purchase for me.

Yeah, I loved medic on BC2. Most people would only worry about their K/D ratio and I would just concentrate on healing and reviving people and capturing command points. My k/D was terrible but I'd usually be near the top of the team in points.

Which is exactly why I prefer BC over MW...I never get a ton of kills regardless of class but I can always get a ton of points doing other things.

Nothing grinds my gears more then being shot down, revived, shot down, revived, shot down again and revived again....and then killed along with the medic. Then look at my k/d and see a big 0/5 in 30 seconds because some medic had a hardon with the pads.
