I just noticed that Battlefield 1943 isn't included with the PS3 version. Apparently, the week early access to BF3 DLC has is the reason why (which is pretty lame IMO).

Well this is my first Battlefield game out of all of them where I haven't came out with insane problems. I had a couple drops and small framerate issues (mainly thanks to using old hardware cuz my new stuff isn't in)

BF2 and 2142 were utterly insane during the first week when it came to issues.

360 servers went down today at least twice, and when I was on last night they were pretty bad, so there were still issues somewhere. If one of these companies can get a huge launch like this right, it will be the end of the world.

Not to give EA and DICE slack for the servers being wonky but same shit happened when MW2 came out.

Game was so hyped that there could be no way to set up servers big enough to accommodate EVERYONE.

Lifers, renters, people who will have only played yesterday...

I'd give them a couple of days before it's officially time to freak out.

That is hilarious! I don't know why it never blew up. Any other time a plane/chopper blows up if you fall 20 feet. It must've been the Xbox version.

Speaking of which, are the Karkand maps already live? I have no idea which maps are Karkand ones but I know when you go to the Store from the main menu they don't show as downloaded yet.

I think I might pull a Jay and Brnt and play through the single player while they are sorting out the online and server issues. Even though I only experienced some lag in one game all of yesterday I also noticed some communication issues, especially in that last game. Everything seemed to be cutting out every other word so I couldn't understand a thing anyone was saying. And I kept talking and no one was responding so I'm guessing they couldn't understand me either. Hopefully it wasn't just on my end.

If you got the Limited Edition, you'll get free access to the Karkand maps when EA and DICE finally upload them to the servers.

Think that VIP Pass from BC2 when they put up the new maps with game modes every moth or so.

As of now, I think they're waiting until the server situation is stable on all three platforms they put this game out on.

Same here whiel you were in playing. I could hear everyone in the lobby fine and gave you a bit of shit about the "How do I get my clan tag to show"......."God damn it Twigg!" :smug: Once we hopped into the game though communication took a shit.

After you left though it cleared back up because Pad and I were talking clear as day during our last 4-5 matches we played.

Leaf was playing on PC and on dedicated servers, so as he put it last night, he played 6 hours of uninterrupted BF3.

Of course when I leave things actually work. I'm just paranoid it's something on my end. It seems every time I form up a squad and try to enter a game at least part of the squad gets booted back to the main menu. But when Rylo was squad leader and starting a game it seemed to work fine most of the time.
