You cant really judge anyone until you see LeSean McCoy play in the NFL.

McCoy is going to be scary good and that pains me to say as a Penn State fan. That being said, I agree with Juggernaut's statement for now.

Exactly, for now that has to be true since you cant rate McCoy.

Yet i still think that Identity and Theft will be better because each of them is a bruiser and both spell each other. Stewart had the chance to become number 1 last year, yet he elevated himself and williams and in turn, he didnt become the #1 yet he played like one.

McCoy will not have the oppertunity to be #1 this year barring injury from westbrook.

Smash and Dash, Williams and Stewart, Earth and Fire, and "Downtown" and "Wildcat" are the only legitimate choices up there. They're more committee-like.

Everybody else is a feature back and their spell. Granted, Washington and Norwood should've had bigger roles last year, but they didn't. Sproles is still a specialist in my mind.

Anywho, I think Williams and Stewart are the best. Smash and Dash are really good, but they didn't combine for the yardage Deangelo and Jonathan did.

Williams and Stewart: 2351 rushing yards, 28 rushing TDs

Plus, DeAngelo averaged 5.5 Y/A and led the league in TDs. There's no beating that. The Daily Show (Jonathan Stewart) had 4.5 Y/A and ten TDs. Smash only averaged 3.9 Y/A and Dash averaged 4.9 It's not like Carolina's O-line is that much better than Tennessee's.

They were already the number one seed in the AFC, so they didn't need that game.

Like my post earlier in this thread, I believe White and Johnson will be the best one-two punch this season. White is in his contract year and is in great shape and Chris Johnson will continue to be Chris Johnson. This post was just for people that think Stewart/Williams are the best one-two punch to see that they played against worse rushing defenses during the season and that the gap is a lot closer than you think.

I don't think The Daily Show and Williams are way better than Smash-and-Dash... Maybe they should just play each other or something. Ya, LenDale's in great shape, though. I'm glad he's finally shed the weight that's made him a statue for the opposite of what a runningback should look like.

No offense to him. I love USC, got love for the Titans, but I remember seeing pictures of him where he was humongous.

I just think he needs to average higher than 3.9 Y/A if he wants to be seen as part of the BEST tailback tandem in the league. He had exactly 200 carries. Had he averaged .1 more yards per attempt, he'd have had 800 yards. 4.5 would've been 900.

Can't just talk about being the best. You have to produce.

1-I'm not sure White being a fat ass is good defense for your run game. lol. It makes more sense after reading your final sentence, though.

2-I'm not sure I agree with the premise of that argument. Steve Smith's one of the best receivers in the league, bar none, but the team is known for failing whenever Delhomme throws more than 25 passes or something. (I don't remember exactly what the numbers were, but it was either 25+ or 30+ passes generally results in their breaking-down as a team.)

By that logic, you don't really have to be afraid of their passing game. One special receiver on a team built around the run isn't enough for them to not stack the box. Essentially, teams could probably run a 4-5-2 with no safety over the top or a 4-4-3 against the Panthers... That's not what they did, and they got burned and run-over on the ground.

Were the Titans that much worse in the receiving corps? Even if they were somewhat worse, didn't they have maybe a better defense? Not to knock the Carolina D, but Tennessee had one of the most talented defenses last year.

Cuz White and Johnson didnt get to play the Colts and Texans both of whom were in the bottom 10 in rushing D.

Just to show how off you are, the Bucs and Saints both had so-so rushing defense far from horrid, Atlanta was one of the worst teams at stopping the run and didn't stop anyone on the ground all season being the 8th worst team at stopping the run in the entire lg. But as far as Tampa and NO go they were both average at stopping it.

Meanwhile the Titans get to play two of the softest run defenses in the league, if your going to look at the teams these guys are playing against.

All im sayin is, if your gunna be saying a tandem can't be considered the best because of the softer competition then White/Johnson should be pretty far down your list with the teams they got to run against.
