Secondly we beat the Pats in the playoffs on our sb run and have won 3 out of the last 4 games v them if im not mistaken.

What kind of a response is that to how a team is good? The Bengals have a good O when everybody is fit ... does that make them a good team all of a sudden?

And everybody loses people to injuries ...agreed some are larger than others but blaming a failure of a season purely on injuries is laughble . I guess it was them injuries that cost you when Mclain and Willis blew big runs on you in Texas Stadium? Or was that Ken Hamlin`s iniability to tackle? (Maybe he was tired i dont know)

What about the Eagles pounding? was that Injuries too?

im just sayin , i dont get why people say McNabb chokes but only made it once to the SB and lost , that doesnt make a you a choke artist. McNabb makes the playoffs every year but fall short, that doesnt mean hes a choke. Peyton Manning Kept on making the playoffs before , that is the same scenerio McNabb was in. Except finally P.Manning wins a SB.


so when you look at it.

McNabb and P.Manning had similiar pasts because all they did was make the playoffs and they couldnt win the big game , congrats to Peyton for winning one couple years ago.


i would understand if McNabb made the SB like 4 times and lost all times then he would be a choke but making it to the playoffs aint no joke about it.

Drew Brees stats did matter , his 1-...... record when trailing or tied going into the 4th speaks voulmes . But you cant call somebody who has a ring a choke artist imo . Somebody who is reffered to as a "choke artist" strikes me as somebody who NEVER gets it done and never will. Lets face it a defense is one of the most important parts of a championship run . The first year that Indy can stop the run and play d in the playoffs they win the whole thing . A QB can be as great as Manning but hes still going to need a d to back him up . I will agree that he had some bad playoff games though .

Also 3 mvps and 10 pro bowl appearences > TD-INT ratio

Comparing the Bengals to the Giants is unbelievably stupid. Aside from their D, the Giants have a solid run game and the most cohesive OLine in the league.

And no team lost as many key players for the time that Dallas did. You can say whatever you want, but the dropoff from Tony Romo to Brad Johnson is ridiculous. Losing Felix Jones changed the entire offensive philosophy. And even losing Matt McBriar hurt them, because the punter they replaced him with averaged nearly 8 fewer yards per punt.

Nevermind that a worthless backup like Cory Proctor played LG all year and Witten was a walking infirmary at the end of the year.
A healthy Tony Romo alone would have won 2 more games.

Colts lost there head coach , Titans lost there most important player , Jags took a step back last yr and have alot of turning around to do.

Giants/Boys were both bitten in the ass by injuries. Eagles like the dickfaces they are always show up late and win.
None of them suffered major losses in line with a coach , or dominant defender. NYG/Dal did however lose there primary WR threats.

Skins/Texans are pretty comparable.


Its close but NFC east is the better division paper. Better QBs as a group , more talent overall , and better defenses.

AFC South/AFC East is a wash

The Texans, Titans and Colts are all legit playoff contenders.. even the Jags can surprise if someone on their depth chart can rise to the occasion and be a solid #2 WR.

The AFC East is much weaker IMO. The Patriots are the clear cut favorites in the division, the Bills still have quite a bit of holes on defense, the Jets will have some ups and downs behind a rookie QB, and the Fins really had the luxury of a Brady-less Pats squad and Charmin soft schedule..

I really don't think you can compare the AFC South to the AFC East..

The 2009 version of these teams will be much different. The Jets were at their peak with a veteran QB.. the Jags were terrible last year and that victory came before the Bills free fall..

If that's an argument as to why the AFC east is the strongest, it's a weak one.

The Pats didn't miss the playoffs because of a tough division, they didn't get in because the NFL rewards division winners over records. doesn't matter that New England had a better record than San Diego's 8-8, they didn't get in because they had a weaker record against Indianapolis and Baltimore.

Bob Sanders once again missed games through Injury

Excuses are cheap . Your team didnt stand up for one reason or another and thats all their is to it . They still had Romo and co v the Ravens and Eagles and failed in both

Titans were undefeated going into the J E T S game

That was when Brett was playing well and the Jets were the hottest team in the league. Oh and yet the Titans still finished with the best record in the league last year.

I think the Titans take a step back this year and in all honesty, they still have QB issues

The Titans don't need a big armed guy to win games for them, they just need someone to manage games. Kerry Collins filled in fine last year. They added Nate Washington and Kenny Britt to a receiving core that was bad last year, so the passing game should be a little bit better. Besides, their offense is based around their running game, and CJ and LenDale are one of the best one-two punches in the league. I also believe Javon Ringer will look good in spot carries this season - I loved what I saw out of him at Michigan State. The defense is still great without Haynesworth, and we got deeper at that position after losing Big Al.

Oh and the AFC South is the toughest division.

No QB issues in Nashville buddy. Collins will manage the game while Vince grows and matures. The d-line has many versatile pieces.The one area of weakness was addressed in the offseason and draft(WR),so my only hope is that Nick Harper holds up,because CB depth is a concern.We'll be right back in the chase this year,with C.J and a slimmed down something to prove chip on his shoulder Lendale White to smash and dash again...GO TITANS!!

I hope Ryan Mouton, our third round pick from Hawaii, takes Harper's spot as corner opposite of Finnegan. He looks good on tape and I loved the pick.

It's the NFC East.

If you're going by just last year, you're talking about a division that had zero losing records. Sure, the AFC South had an equal amount of wins, but Jacksonville played poorly last season. That shows a lack of balance in the division. Also, the point differentials in the games favor the NFC East.

Want to take a look at the playoffs? AFC South goes 0-2. NFC East (excluding the Giants vs. Eagles) goes 1-1. You can talk all day about the talent and "caliber" of a team you want. At the end of the day, the best division comes down to competitiveness and what you do come game day. Consistently, every year, the NFC East has been the best. Four major cities all with great Super Bowl aspirations every single year and 11 rings to show for it.

And I'd love to know how the Cowboys and Redskins are so ass. Sure, the Cowboys can be a 10+ wins team and the Redskins "under perform", but they're 9-7, 8-8 respectively. How do they suck? If anyone out of those two divisions suck, it's Jacksonville.
