Best stadium you've ever watched a football

NAU's stadium is screwy. What did you think of it?

I like ASU's stadium. Pretty easy to get to, easy to get tickets, good sightlines. I like it when they shoot off fireworks from the bluff.

Since we're on FBS now, you ever been to Furman? It's pretty neat for a smaller school. Rabid fanbase, pretty setting and they copy the Miami Hurricanes' white smoke entrance.

NAU's is ass. Turf is hard as rocks. I absolutely HATED when we had to do our football camp for school up there every year. One year, a bunch of the guys got MRSA from that field. Nasty..but I do like watching games from there. As long as I don't have to cover any more receivers on that shit haha.

And yea, Sun Devil Stadium is nice when you don't have to be there in the rediculous AZ heat. I usually go to every ASU home game, and there isn't really a bad seat from anywhere in the stadium. The view from the top of the stadium is nice aswell- getting to see the campus, the river and everything.

Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, probably only Mosaic in Regina compares to awesome time for a CFL game. Also love old ass Ivor Wynne in Hamilton, but mostly cause I've played on that field.

Ralph is a below average stadium , but the atmosphere is amongst the elite of the NFL from what I understand.

Gillette was a fuckin shit show and a half, but I'm partial to the one time I went cause it was greatest day in my fucking life.

Ford Field is a nice building, alright place to go, nothing too special.



From what I've learned in all the stadiums, fields, arenas I've been to, it really doesn't matter all that much how nice the place is. The atmosphere is really that's all that is relevant.

A shitty atmosphere in a nice building doesn't usually make for a great time.

A great atmosphere in a shitty building can usually be a fucking blast. If this wasn't true, the Bills would have left Buffalo a decade ago.

I have only been to the Metrodome and Lambeau so I can't speak as far as Lambeau's "greatness" compared to others, just compared to the covered parking lot they have in Minneapolis they call a stadium.

My first game at Lambeau was this year and I absolutely loved it. If it was not Lambeau I probably would not care too much for live football. There's just a great atmosphere there. I didn't get any of that feeling at the Met. We went down an hour before kickoff by the Packers tunnel to watch them all come out for warmups and it was a great time. Lambeau is really something special.

Luckily for me I'm good friends with my cousin now on the side of my family that shares a few Packers season tickets. He's going to the Rose Bowl so I'll get to take his Packers - Bears tickets January 2. I just hope it's a meaningful game still.

There are only a few NFL stadiums where the live experience is worth it, IMO.

Lambeau
Arrowhead
Ralph Wilson
Cleveland, maybe?

... and maybe Qwest for the loudness.

But most NFL stadiums are cavernous and sterile, and lack any charm or energy.

I've only been to Arrowhead and Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

I've been to almost every Chiefs home game for 17 years now and the atmosphere never gets old. I'm spoiled. The tailgating is fantastic and is probably only rivaled by Ralph Wilson in the NFL. It's probably better than most colleges.

The atmosphere inside the stadium is phenomenal. There's an energy inside the stadium that I'm willing to bet isn't matched by very many places. The stadium's been recently renovated, but it still has its old school charm. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The fans are passionate and intense, but you aren't going to be scared for your life like you would be in Philly or Oakland. There's literally a sea of red shirts in the stands that is always cool to see. And, you get chants and other traditions that you don't get at other venues.

Lambeau is the only pro stadium I'm really interested in visiting. Maybe Ralph Wilson and Qwest to compare atmospheres.

I would love to go through a tour of the SEC stadiums. That's the only place where I think I could find atmospheres that compare with the one I've loved my whole life.
