Jayson Stark has been one of the only baseball guys I respect at ESPN.

Between him, Tim K, and Gammons I think they are fantastic.

I love Kruky too...but who the hell doesn't?

I wish ESPN's football and basketball coverage was as good as their baseball.

I have a bad taste about Kruk. I had a friend who used to work in the Phillies organization during college and he said Kruk was around alot was a total prick off camera and alot of people agreed.

Gammons works for MLB network now. ESPN's baseball coverage took a hit when they started hiring guys like Nomar, Fernando Vina, Aaron Boone and Orestes Destrada. All are terrible on camera and offer nothing insightful about the game.

I actually like their web content though. Stark, Rob Neyer and Keith Law are all tolerable.

That and Rocky V are some of the few things I will refuse to acknowledge.

ESPN's baseball coverage took a hit when they started hiring guys like Nomar, Fernando Vina, Aaron Boone and Orestes Destrada. All are terrible on camera and offer nothing insightful about the game.

You also forgot Bobby Valentine and Eduardo Perez...and Dave Winfield.

I miss Harold Reynolds as well.

Agreed. Vina was an unlikable POS as a player and he wasn't even very good. I don't know how he parlayed his horrible personality and below-average baseball career into a broadcasting gig.

Yeah how could I forget Eduardo Perez? He's brutal. HR and Gammons are just two of the reasons why MLBN shits on ESPN. Unless you're stuck watching Diamond Demo on an endless loop. Nothing stupider than watching Barry Larkin and Mitch Williams teach you how to turn a double play while wearing three piece suits and standing on a miniature baseball field.

Probably because all the dorks in sports media who grew up without their milk money propped him up as their hero when he was roughed up by that mean bully Albert Belle.
