Jesse will steal the methylamine from Walt and cook for the new guy at a cheaper price, Remember when Walt said "You're looking at the two best cooks in the state".

I thought that was more meant to how Walter completely ignored Jesses request to get out more so than hinting he might cook for the other guys. After he said that, Jesse and Mike just kind of looked at each other, both thinking wtf?

Also thought it was pretty funny how Walt was emphatically telling Jesse that no one else would die....20 minutes later, someone Jesse considered a mentor and probably a friend is killed by Walt. That certainly is NOT going to sit well with Jesse. This is going to start the beginning of the end of Walter White and I still stick by my prediction of Jesse being one of the only main guys still standing at the end of the show.

Also think Mike is gonna get himself killed, he knows it. He needs to get away from Walt, always has said that, just can't seem to make it happen. Walt is mother fucking MacGuyver.

Jesse can cook meth that is 96% pure for all we know in his spare time Jesse could of found out a way to get 100% pure, With Walts ego at an all time high what better way to knock it down then by Jesse a high drop out and former addict cook better meth than the "Great Heisenberg"

It's hard to watch Walt pass up these opportunities to walk away from the meth miles ahead from where he started and knowing that he's going to get humbled in the worst possible way. :smh:

Mike was wrong on one thing.

This whole mess can be traced back to Jessie.

Walt was happy cooking for Gus and counting the monies, but Jesse was the one who started the downfall with the whole kid thing, which resulted in Walt having to intervene to stop him from getting popped by the two soldiers/henchmen. That caused Gus to want to off the two of them, which left Walt with no option but to follow the course of events which ended up with the old cartel gangster going Al Qaeda on Gus in the rest home.

It all leads to Jesse going against Walt. Others will play a factor, especially Hank, but thats got to be the final showdown. Jesse and Walt.

However I've really got no idea how this show is going to get there.

few more thoughts now that i've rewatched it and had some time to think.

 

I really dont like what happened with Mike, but he brought it on himself. the plastic band tie thing was stupid in so many ways:

1) Mike would know better. Mr. chemistry teacher over here who has made a name for himself doing crazy shit with science, and you're just gonna tie him with a fucking zip tie? you wouldnt use handcuffs? straps? straight jacket? you wouldnt lock him into a room that has no way out? you mean he couldnt find someplace like that on the way to deliver his smokescreen to the DEA? more importantly: why did he even let Walt live at all? there was literally 0 reason to keep Walt around as far as Mike is concerned. Mike was there when the cartel tested jesse's meth ; even if Mike didnt want to get out of the game, he knew better than even Walt does how good Jesse is at cooking. And if he was selling out, just ace Walt and split his share with Jesse. Not only would Mike have absolutely loved to do it, but who is going to miss him? Skylar wouldnt report him missing. I mean, Mike could have shown up at the door and said "i am here to kill Walter" and her response would be something like "let me help you do it!" and then she'd drink another glass of wine.

also, why did Mike not have a gun drawn as he took the bag from Walt? he had one on him. why on earth would you leave your last interaction with an egomaniac like Walt to chance?

I get that he had to go, and I loved Bryan Cransons performance. his look of shock when it happened, that sense that "fuck, i just did something REALLY bad and i cant fix it" and maybe even a hint of realization that his ego caused a massive mistake (if he can even percieve his own ego, which is, at this point, quite justifiably doubtful).

Im just bummed out to lose my favorite character not named Jesse (who also hasn't been written particularly well this season ; perhaps that will change now that Walt just drove everyone off a cliff) and I just dont see a methodical, practical and hardcore veteran like Mike getting got by a science major who has some of the best luck of any televised character ever.

I rewatched episode 1 and saw Te cell phone video Jesse took of Walt doin his first cook in The RV, wonder if that would be used/played at all??

I love this fucking show.

That is what the entire show is based on...Walt being bought out by Grey Matter and his hubris in an attempt to make up for it through the meth business.

When the lawyer came to the bank the 2nd time with sweet snacks again, I got that eerie feeling that something huge was going down. This led to Mike ditching his granddaughter

After Mike grabbed his bag from Walt forcefully, I thought that was it for Mike on the show.

Was not excepting Walt to cap him even after they showed Walt look at Mike's gun in the bag.

Really awesome scene with Mike & Walt staring off in the distance.
