You would have had it made up in extra time. That kid is not the the reason you lost so stop. Hazard shouldn't have kicked him, he apologized for it and the kid apologized too. Not like you could beat Bradford City anyways.

Doubt it. Extra time is pretty much always deflated. Only time it's ever more than 3-4 minutes is due to injury/odd else. Why depend on the ref's descretion when you can take care of it yourself?

Never said we would have made it up, but it would probably been more likely, if, I dunno, we had 11 players and our best player of the game on the field. Of course he apologized, what else is he supposed to do? PR rules in the premier league. It's what you say not what you do, of course.

The extra time that Hazard thought he was going to gain (what, maybe 30 seconds?) now looks inconsequential compared to the absolute stupidity of KICKING A DOWNED KID. This is just willfully ignorant. Your feet extend out past your leg. So, it's entirely possible (and I'd say probable) that his toe kicked the ball out while also delivering a decent wallop with his shin. Even if, magically, none of his body made contact with anything but the ball, the mere act of making a kicking gesture at a downed kid is so colossally stupid that to defend it makes Chelsea fans look even worse.

I think its kinda telling that the only people I've seen justifying it are Chelsea supporters. It was absolutely retarded for Hazard to do that and its not something you do, obviously. /r/soccer is pretty much entirely defending Hazard and that's a community that hates Chelsea. They also think the kid is a little shit. He also happens to be 17, his dad is a shareholder for the club and he was bragging on twitter about how rich he is and that he was going to waste time during the game.

Now that I've cooled down a bit (and sobered) ill say its obvious that Hazard shouldn't have done that.
