....but as of last night....that ended...and alive, he still would have had a chance to redeem himself...that chance is gone.

A lot of ''great'' americans were either criminals, scumbags or both.

One of them ''had a dream,'' but fucked more women than Tiger Woods, and probably beat a few of them, too.

Some of which I was forced to do reports on, why they were such ''great'' people. I failed.

So, I can understand where you're coming from, if, of course your criteria is met for everyone. I'm not saying Henry is on the same level as these people, but being a scumbag in America, isn't always a bad thing........ I guess.

I'm just trying to give some prospective for people. I know ESPN loves to act like once people die they never did anything wrong before that point but Henry is a dude who has inflicted bodily harm on others, was intending to most likely beat his girlfriend, has been pulled over for multiple DUIs. There is really no reason anyone should feel remorse for this guy. I understand, he died, he has loved ones near and dear to him and for that I definitely feel a bit bad. But Henry is just a common criminal that happens to play football.

You want a list of dirty scumbags, who are considered ''great'' people, throughout history? Jesus Christ, man, I'd be here until Xmas 2013.

My point is - Chris Henry isn't the worst guy, that people have mourned. There's been far too many throughout the years. The one thing I can respect about Chris Henry, is the fact he never claimed to be perfect, or a good person. That's more than I can say for some people, past, present and future.

Good lord, I've never seen more high-horse riding in my life. It's death. It happens. If someone doesn't want to be all mopey about it, that's their prerogative. If they don't want to say RIP, same deal. It's silly to get all in a tizzy about it as if any of it matters. We're on an internet message board.

I still don't understand why the overall opinion isn't "you play with matches you get burned", or, in this case, "you try to break into the back window of a moving truck and you will likely die".

I say it again, if he had never learned to play football, he'd be on the Darwin Awards for this and we'd likely be laughing about it.

RIP way too young. Even if he wasnt the type of guy you wanted your kids to look up to he had alot left to do and was trying to turn his ways around.
