The Colts played their starters until the end of the 3rd quarter. It's not like they benched them entirely.

I do expect them to bench them at some point in the 1st quarter next week though. Stupid because whenever Dungy did it in the past, the Colts never went far in the post-season.

Peyton Manning is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, this doesn't change the Colts super bowl chances because it's not going to affect their effort and focus. if they get beat then they get beat.

Manning rarely even takes sacks. He goes through his reads too quickly and usually knows where the D is coming from. The rare times he does get sacked he just drops to the ground and avoids the hit.

The only nasty hit I can even remember him taking this year was when Vanden Bosch illegally went low on him way back in the first Titans game. Plus this is Manning who's tough as nails and has played with a broken jaw before. Saying "oh but he might get injured" is pussy and bitchmade.

I honestly hate this: every time I hear "risk your best player". You're risking your players every second they step on the field... from Pre-Season to Super Bowl. You don't quit. 14-0 or 0-14, you don't quit. An injury can happen on ANY GIVEN PLAY. Just ask Tom Brady.

According to your logic, you're saying that teams should rest starters for games that don't matter. Have you ever seen a team that was clearly out of playoff contention just rest their starters or not go 100%? The game doesn't matter, right? It's meaningless to their season... they've got a huge vacation to look forward to. So why play?

Just seeing how deflated the whole team was on the sidelines after they pulled the starters was enough to tell you it was a bad move. They had a chance to go back on it after Painter GAVE New York 7 points, and they didnt. For them to act like going perfect isnt an important thing is retarded to me.. to say momentum is overrated, also retarded to me. You're going to have one week guaranteed bye for all your players.. let them play until the game is at hand. If the starters play another series or two they might put the game out of reach. All it takes is 1 play and ALL your Super Bowl chances are thrown out the window.

I think you still want him to prepare the entire week and come into the game with the same mindset. by starting him you don't risk letting him lose focus and allow him to maintain the right mindset throughout the week and prior to the game.

As for the bolded part - the bottom line is that Peyton Manning is that good and that this will not affect him. The "bitchmade pussy" shit is so ra-ra and dramatic. I'd rather be considered a bitchmade pussy than go into the playoffs without my HOF QB.
