I think it was a horrible call . I understand pulling players who are injured or slightly hurt but to pull people because you're scared of them getting hrut is bullshit . It was bullshit when Dungy did it and it's bullshit now . How can we preach the "game at a time" , "play to win" every game attitude when we are basically handing another team the win . Don't give me the "Painter could have done something" bullshit . The whole crowd and team was dead when he came in . Not one Colts player thought he could do it , I'm pretty sure Painter thought he was fucked too .

Also - Revis wasn't impressive for anybody who watched the game today . Several times Wayne burned him then dropped the ball or Manning couldn't quite connect with him . I'm not sure if this was one of his worse games or what but I wasn't impressed

I think you still want him to prepare the entire week and come into the game with the same mindset. by starting him you don't risk letting him lose focus and allow him to maintain the right mindset throughout the week and prior to the game.

What's overdramatic is all the injury talk. The choice isn't between Manning getting injured and Manning playing all 16 games. If Manning's that big of a risk to get injured then just sit him from the beginning like they did with Mathis, Johnson, and Garcon.

As for whether or not it affects him it's impossible to really know. But I have seen the Colts (including Manning) come out flat and rusty in the playoffs after sitting starters for weeks.

The risk doesn't raise. The "risk" is always the same. Peyton is at as much risk of being injured in this game as he is in Week One. Carson Palmer played out the whole season in 2005. When did he get injured? Playoffs. von Oelhoffen went low on him. It's fucking football. The risk doesn't raise just because you're locked in for the playoffs.

They booed because their team laid down and gave up completely . Everybody was flat when Painter got in and the effort appeared to drop by 10,000x% . We gave away a shot at 19-0 because we were scared . If we would have lost with our starters in I would not have given a shit .
