Cutler out 6-8 weeks with broken thumb

Hanie is terrible?!? Did you watch the NFC Championship game last year? That kid played pretty damn well in the biggest game of his life. The Raji INT was pretty pathetic but besides that he was making some great throws.

Yea I dont know about Caleb being horrible. IM not saying hes great, but for sure not terrible. The schedule is just too good for them right now. KC and Denver are games the defense alone can win. So thats 2, Seattle in Chicago is another game on the Bears side.

Love today said at noon that he thought Jay would be back before the playoffs. Im sticking to my week 17 prediction.

All I'm saying is numerous quarterbacks have played with it on their throwing hand and many quarterbacks would have played through that knee injury in the NFC ship last year. People arent calling him a puss because some people have actually watched the bears play this year. Go and download any of his games. the guy has been getting creamed since week 1 and took it like a soldier. His line is one of the worst in the league, and in any given game he makes 2-3 throws nobody else can make (not even Rodgers ; in those situations, Rodgers would tuck and run with it. That's just his style. Cutler makes the pass, back foot, dude in his face, whatever.)

If you've watched any of the Bears games, especially the ones early in the season before they adjusted their playcalling to try to cover up the line weakness (which took way too long), you'd know Jay Cutler is one tough motherfucker and he's one of the top 3 or 4 QBs in the NFC.

and LOL at the medical experts in this thread. A broken finger isnt just a broken finger. Medical shit is always more complicated than you realize, that's why doctors make obscene amounts of money.

Charles Woodson has been talking about it since the 8th win. the Packers are going all in for the undefeated season. they won't be taking their foot off the gas for anyone if they are still undefeated. They survived 15 players on injured reserve last year and kept on trucking. they aren't afraid of injury.

Unfortunately Lions are gonna miss out. If they beat GB on Thursday I will of course backflip on this.. massive game.

Giants have a tough run home.. Only 1 team will come out of this division so it comes down to the Giants Cowboys matchups.

He screams at his teammates all the time. He screams at coaches. He was screaming at Johnny Knox after he slipped and Cutler threw the fateful INT.

I've never been a big Cutler fan because I've never seen him as being very good, and this is the first year in which he seems to be better than the previous year.

What makes more sense is to get him right to play and hopefully it'll be while we're in the playoffs. Jay's been getting killed all year (save the last few games where the lines stepped up), and has taken it like a man, and stepped up and made the big throw the next play after getting killed, on numerous occasions mind you. At this point, I dont think I could ever question the guys toughness.

I was one of the people saying Cutler wasn't tough last year but I'll have to go ahead and admit I was wrong there. The guy simply couldn't plant his foot which means he couldn't throw. Also, he takes a lot of hits and stays in the pocket and tries to make throws. He's one of the most talented QBs in the league.

Cutler is definitely a tough quarterback and if he could play he would.

Having Eli as top anything is always questionable. When Eli had that comeback against the Patriots I love how all these analysts starting saying how Eli was a top 5 QB. Brought many lulz, which brings me to another topic...



I feel like analysts this year have been quicker than in years pasts to bandwagon jump. Romo had the game against the Jets and everyone was riding him and then he started playing great a couple weeks later against the 49ers with his injury and such and everyone loved him again. Make up your mind and stick to your fucking guns.

With the type of fracture he has, which requires SURGERY, unlike Roethlisberger and Favre many years ago, it would basically be impossible for him to grip a football. He already has receivers slipping and running the wrong routes. I can only imagine how well they would do with him trying to throw the ball with four fingers.
