Slayer of Demons
I just finished a bittersweet session. I loaded in just south of the northeast airfield and made my way to Berezino. Let me preface the following by saying that my current character has a lot of the items that I would consider the best for survival except a compass, NVGs to see in the dark, a ghillie suit to better conceal myself, sufficient medical supplies, and a large backpack to carry everything.
So, the first thing I spotted when I made it to the outskirts of the north side of the city was an apartment complex of three buildings which usually have the bare essentials (food, drink, handguns, etc.) I got excited when I found an ALICE backpack (the second largest capacity) in the second apartment building I entered, and I quickly tucked away all the canned food in the building. I proceeded to move south toward some industrial buildings where I found nothing special. Then I stumbled on some military tents after I aggro'd a few zombies, and after I lost them, I returned to find a Coyote backpack (the largest capacity in the game :fap
. I quickly swapped items from my ALICE pack and headed to another set of apartments nearby. Inside the first building, I found not only the elusive compass but a ghillie suit as well. At this point, I was quite happy with my haul, and I decided to make my way back to the outskirts of town to safety as to not push my luck.
I finally got to the treeline and decided to put on the ghillie suit. I entered 3rd person view and dolphin dived into the ground to see how well my guy blends in. I decided to open up my inventory to make some room in my primary inventory before I went hunting for some meat, and I found that in the process of putting on the ghillie suit I downgraded my pack to a Czech backpack. Fortunately, I only lost a few cans of food and nothing more.
